Suggestion on Skate

I know this has been asked before but i want ot get into wakeskating and was wondering what would be a good board to get/size board. Im about 6'2 and about 185. Thanks

I'm 6'1" and 185-190. I ride a cassette concave 43". Really good size for me. I can ride a 41" fine if its wide.
You might want to start off by getting a cheaper flat deck, about 44".

i sugest a 42? but i think if possible u should rent 2 sizes liek a 42 n a slightly biger one if u bog on the 42! hope thats helpful! }

yahh 45 mite be good then u can use it longer if u grow in any way but me n my dad made our board and its a 42 n i cn ride it... im aroun 115 lb hes around ur weight n my frind who is 9 rides it jsut fine either... i think me personly wud go with what u got there (the style) but if u can find it in 43 go with that if not i think that SHOULD be nice, id ask around more i mean im only 13 soo im no expert here!

yeah any board 43 to 45 would fit you fine. no one here has recommended cassette, an all wakeskate brand who knows what they're doing. for starting out you would probably want to go with their flat deck or linear perspective. though if you want to chip in more money concave decks go a long way.

would you have any suggestions from personal experience. No real price range as of now. Do you have a suggestion as to grip or foam. Which works better. Thanks

no i dont as far as comparison. but i hav foam on a cassette and i dont have any complaints about it. it's not slippery and doesnt tear up your leg when you fall on it. though like i said, i have never riden griptape so i can't compare them.

i definitely prefer griptape. ive ridden a cassette concave, butter 42, and catalyst, and i like the feel of the grip tape on the cassette much more than the foam on either of the other two. sure you might get some battle scars from the tape, but i feel much more connected to the board than the foam. also, i find it easier to adjust my feet on the grip than the foam since the foam is spongy.
