Well my trailer seems to have gone haywire.........When I hook up the truck to the trailer everything works fine with turn signals brake lights and reverse lights. Then when I turn on the headlights and hit the left turn signal the signal freezes on the truck dash and nothing happens. The right turn signal works fine...........Anybody got any ideas or experienced this problem. Like I said it only freezes when the headlights are on and the left turn signal is on.

Sounds like a blown bulb or short in the turn signal overloading the flasher. Many vehicles are designed to go solid on the dash when a bulb goes out.

Maybe a short in the marker lamps on the trailer. When you turn on the headlights, the trailer lights are supposed to come on dim. Mine have a bad wire on the trailer also. One of my marker lamps have a bad wire. Whenever I try to connect it, my truck parking lamps fuse blow. I just leave that one marker lamp disconnected.

I had the same issue with my truck earlier this year. Turned out to be a short in the wiring harness for the trailer. Everytime I'd hook it up to the truck it would blow the turn signal fuse for the right turn signal. Everything else was fine. Check your fuse in your vehicle, if it keeps blowing sounds like it's a short.
