Whiskey Tango has a point for sure!!!, but for the sake of non-custom boards at the average size or even weight per surface area, i am pretty darn cirtain that ss and co. are not it. but i think there is definately a run for money between the dark core, fly and sub six

I had my SS 142 Recoil on a scale at the UPS store to ship it.... Board + fins + bindings screws was 7 lbs on the dot. More importantly on the SS, most of the weight is in the middle, little to no swing weight, which is what counts IMO (Message edited by sidekicknicholas on April 07, 2009)

my DHV1 137 plus 09 cells came in a just under 10lbs, so that could be an argument toward the Dark Core....

Probably not, but who cares, its something to do while there is snow on the ground. Folks with Fly/DarkCore boards, want to help us out?

I am going to agree with Nick and say it matters more about swing weight. I have ridden a 10 pound board and with the bindings it probably weighed 15. Weight was center though and it still rode really well. Cant say the same for other setups that weighed about the same and the weight was heavy tip and tail. The slingshots are crazy light in the tip and tail.

I love how people weighing 170 lbs think saving 1 lb on board weight is going to help them spin better.

The fly boards with the fly bindings are so light. Fly S4 with Fly Watsons are probably the lightest setup.
