trouble with board in air

i have this problem that i don't know if it matters much or not but i think it does, when i hit the wake and i'm in the air my board goes straight up and down (perpendicular), i think thats the spelling ne way i never even knew i was doing that until my friend told me about and was like thats screwed up, so should i fix this prob and how or should i just forget about it,

your coming into the wake with too much weight on your backfoot, you want to come in with your weight evenly spread out on your board.
