vlx vs lsv 23, does anybody have any positive or negatives between these two boats, does the wake differ much between the two. i am possibly looking at getting a new boat and i have been looking at these two boats, 2006 or 2007. thanks for the feedback

If towing and storing the longer LSV is not a problem, I would go that route. If there's one thing I've learned in having a wakeboard boat it's this: You can never have too much room for people and gear. Boating is a social activity. I like driving a boat with room for TWO big families. Wakeboards fit on racks. But you need storage for all your water skis, knee boards, wake skates, tubes, vests, wet suits, extra coolers, place for shoes, trash bag, ropes, ropes, and more ropes... see where this is going?

I don't know about the wake difference, but frankly it doesn't matter as much as the space inside. Any modern wakeboard boat will produce a wake that you'll grow to love.

We have the 2007 VLX and love it. It's a great boat! But, now that the dog is bigger, the kids are bigger, and the kids friends are bigger, I sometimes wish that it was a bit bigger too. I have considered trading it in, but it's paid for and I don't want to revisit another boat payment.....or the out of pocket cash.

Having said all of that, we occasionally fit 11 people in there and do just fine

Wake on the VLX is awesome with the stock tanks and wedge. If you add weight, it gets even better.

With the 23 LSV, you have to add a bunch more weight to simulate the wake of the VLX because it takes more to sink it. That being said, because its a bigger boat, you can add a bunch more weight and sink it even more than a VLX.

How many people do you usually ride with? I have had 10 people comfortably on my VLX with as many as 14 (don't ask). There is still tons of storage on either boat but I also don't stuff skis or kneeboards anywhere. They are not allowed.
