HSE Revolution Volume control. I will have a prototype unit running this weekend on my boat and plan to post up a review soon.

x3 for the 420.

If you want to go the cheap route, you can wire in a bass knob as the gain knob on the amp that your tower speakers are on.

Thanks for the input guys. I may have to explore the cheap route for now seeing as i just dropped tons of money on speakers and amps.

Tanner, were you talking about something like this http://sonicelectronix.com/item_10316_Memphis+16-PRRG.html

Do I just install and mount the gain control and thats it or are there any other special instructions?

You could also just put a simple switch in the turn on lead to the amp. It would probably be a few bucks at most (Radio Shack). That doesn't give you level control obviously, but it is really cheap.

Mikey - We wanted the same thing, so I called the local shops, and one bright young feller asked me, "why don't you just use the fade knob?" So, we tried it, and it works fantastic! Our tower speakers are the back speakers. It may take a few extra seconds vs. having an on/off switch, but I would rather put that money towards gas!

You can do the PAC LC1, I had that setup on my old boat and it worked very well for fading the tower speakers. You will not be able to really tweak things, but it does do the job.

I also am running a WS 420 and recommend it if $$ is not an object.

We just ran our boat on the fader front back = tower boat. That way when someones out riding you can send it all to the tower and the people inside the boat dont get a headache lol. Or you can put it all inside the boat with no tower

I have Pac LC-1's on mine, and it works great. Can't get much more easy or flexible. One for sub, one for boat speakers, one for tower.

I used the pac LC1 for my sub and tower b/c I didnt want to cut out a huge hole in my fiberglass for an equalizer. But I would have gone this route if i had somewhere dry to install it besides the glove box.

i'm avoiding using the fader because my head unit is in the glovebox and i don't have a remote for my stereo. I want to mount something in the driver's area. I may just go with a switch for the lead to the amp. A couple of bucks sounds good to me and i want to do it quick and easy. I'm planning on being on the water by friday. thanks for the suggestions. WWers never let you down!!!

Mikey,

That's what I like about my set-up. I turn on my stereo, bump up the volume, and never touch the stereo or the remote all day long. Just the iPod and the LC-1's. Very simple.
