yo! i was wondering how many litters of fuel do you guys have to put to ride like an hour?? because i ride a correct craft skinautique of like 1885 with 300 kg of height ( i cant really charge it more because the front of the boat is already nearly in the water) plus the friends and im at like 18 litter an hour... fuel is really expensive in Belgium, like 1,4 euro for on litter so it like 1,8 dollars.... so i was wondering how much would cost a session with a real wake boat... thanks

18 litres an hour??? man i think you might have a slight problem with that motor using more fuel than needed. unless you have a really big tank....i mean correct me if im wrong, thats one hell of a lot of fuel/hour.

Even in my buddies 87 Comp TS6M with a 400 lb sac and 5 ppl in the boat, can get a full day out of a tank.

18l/hr is about 5gal/hr,a little less.with 650lbs (300kg) for weight this seems about right.

one hour and nobody made fun of him for the consumption sp? got to be a WW record

man i dont know, one hour is like me and 3 of my friends riding for about 15 minutes each then about 5 to 10 minute to change the riders, put a wetsuit,... so at all is like one hour and a half but one hour of real riding... i really didnt thought that it was a big consumation i dunno a friend of mine told me that his X2 was at like 30 litter an hour. I dunno maybe i would have to do something on my engine during the winter?

I would say around 30 minutes, unless I am drunk.

Seems about right, I burn between 4.5-5gal per hr.

18 liters = 4.7 gal

all you guys laughing because of "consumtion"... this is just childish!
Maybe you should understand that some people speak more than just their mother tongue and give their best to improve for instance their english!

Just be a bit more tolerant!

I applaud those doing their best to write in their non-mother tongue. I couldn't do it, but sometimes the translations are a little more humorous than others.

I use about the same gas per hour as you and from what I have seen posted from others, it is pretty decent mileage. Sadly there isn't much you can do to improve your gas consumption other than getting a smaller boat and tossing all you balast. I guess you could convert to natural gas and know there are some on your side of the pond that make the conversion.

consummation (2 m's) is the act of consummating.

consummate is, according to 'dictionary.com':

"to complete (the union of a marriage) by the first marital sexual intercourse."

Pierre, I'm getting about 14 litre/hour average use for the season. My fuel cost in Canada was just over 1 Euro/litre. I run 250kg weighting boarding and about 400kg when surfing. I always empty the weight when not towing. That's in a 6.6 meter Sanger. with a 330 Hp. engine. (246 KW)
We run without weight towing an Airchair or tube so my consumption is not likely to be as high as many wakeboats.

Pierre get you nautique converted to LPG. I know there's loads of places to get LPG in belgium so you'll end up halving your fuel costs.

I has two boats on LPG (one is a nautique like yours) and its the best way to go.

Ceck this link for some more info :

pierre,
if you want i can do the lpg conversion for you.
I do about 25 lpg conversions on boats each year.
In the netherlands most boats run on LPG and you,ll need a certificate for your insurance company.

your boat will consume aprox 18 liters, if you add weight it will be more.
so 18 x 1.47 = 26.50 euro an hour.( $ 37.60)
On lpg the engine will consume a little more
Aprox. 20 x .65 = 13.00 euro an hour.(18.45 $)
you,ll save 50%.

so at about 175 hours you reach your break even point.
my boat is really thirsty 35/40 liters an hour (slammed)so break even comes a little sooner.

good luck
