I have a 96 ski nautique 196 with a 1:23:1 tranny. Can I run a 13x13 (4-blade) or what's best?

The "replacement" prop that works best on your boat is a Acme 612. An Acme 422 (4-blade) could aslo be used. In terms of improved hole shot, the 470 (3-blade) would give you some extra hook up without too much sacrifice on the top end.

Either 3-blade is $310 shipped. The 4-blade is $335 shipped.

Call Correct Craft first.

If memory serves me correct, CC changed the angle of the drive shaft in '97 from 19 degrees to 14 degrees. Therefore, if your boat has a 19 degree drive shaft you will need a 14" diameter prop to get you out of the hole.

However, if I am wrong and yours has a 14 degree drive shaft a 13" diameter prop will work just fine.
