Did a house boat trip on the delta. Saw one like that. EVIDENTILY (I think he was drunk) something happened. He didn't have an anchor, so he beached it on the rocks, so it wouldn't float away.

The delta has three foot tide swings. If you beach the boat on a falling tide and ignore it for 20 minutes you can end up high and dry until the tide comes back in.
