After about 3 long summers of shopping and research....I finally pulled the trigger on a boat....Got a leftover '08 fairly loaded, All it's missing is docking lights and drivers seat heater..... Didn't have a bimini on it, but it's ordered....The break in period is a little painful but the lake is still a little chilly up here.... Upload

Nice boat, I'd say it's more than "fairly loaded". You'll never miss the docking lights since you have tower lights anyways. If you really want them you can add them on the wire is already run up to where they go.

You'll love the boat brotha!! The wake is just stupid good with a bit of extra weight, and the power wedge (hopefully you have it), and it's still dope without it. Even with all the weight, it handle's like a Porsche on the water. Congrats!!

Beautiful boat!!! I like the mirror. Is the straight from the factory like that? If so or even if not, I've got to get my hands on it, so I don't have to close the walk through windshield on those hot days. Congrats on the purchase. You can't go wrong with a BU!

very nice boat. I bet your stoked!

I still cant believe how these boat manufactures are putting regular car speakers down inside the boats..... seems crazy to me.

They changed it in 2009 to a fully rated marine grade speaker http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?cat_id=18&series_id=192&family _id=194&item_id=111818&locale=en_US&p_status=

Matt... Boat came with the mirror...I'm guessing it's stock? Yes I'm very stoked, been back and forth on purchasing a boat for a couple years now....finally just said enough is enough and pulled the trigger.....To get a leftover with the colour scheme I would have selected and every option I wanted at a smok`n price I couldn`t pass it up!

Thats a VLX isnt it? I thought the VTX was the direct drive.
Old     (whoanellie)      Join Date: Jan 2009       05-06-2009, 10:03 AM Reply
VLX is 21'6"
VTX is 20'

Both are v-drives

Malibudude.... didn't know upgrading to maliview was an option....I heard about it being thrown in at no charge (Boat show specials, I think, on '09s)....Any idea on cost of this upgrade?
Old     (malibudude)      Join Date: Feb 2001       05-06-2009, 9:53 PM Reply
It'll run ~$1,200 or so. You'll need to work w/ your local dealer to setup it up. Believe me it's worth every penny!

Nice boat Chad!! I have an 07 VTX and have no regrets with it at all. We are heading out to Mabel in August if you want to make a little road trip and we can line them up for a few nice pics and a cold "beverage" or two!!!!!!

that's cool, i was in Kamloops yesterday and talked to a guy there..he was super cool...and helpful...I am in the "looking" stages...for an upgrade...my buddy is in the near trigger stage on a 23...just waiting for the timing...
hoping ot get my boat on the water soon!
enjoy the ride!

John's the guy I dealt with...I have to agree he was very informative and super cool....The only reason I bought new was because it was a super deal....it crossed the boarder at par last year...Was about 23 grand cheaper than an '09 with the same options (minus maliview).... The 2-3 year "research and looking" was well worth the wait!
