We did this once before, but got jacked by the guy that won the bidding on Ebay, so the first Cassette Bi-Level available to the public is back on the market!

This time we're just doing a 3-day auction. The winner will get their choice of 2005 Cassette Bi-Levels (Thomas Horrell (40"), Aaron Reed (41") and Danny Hampson (42")) shipped directly from Cassette.

Bidding ends at 4:06 PM EDT this Thursday! Bidding starts at just $1, so get your bid in now. Also, if we get jacked by the winning bidder again, we're going to the next bidder in line, so even if you don't win it initially, you might be in line to get it.

Go to http://www.wakeworld.com/contests/2004/cassette.asp for more info or directly to the auction at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7110044797.

What was the original high bid?

Last time it got up to $420, but the high bidder never replied to the requests to pay. In fact, I offered it to about the top five bidders and none of them even responded. Very weird stuff. Like I said in the other thread, I can't imagine what the motivation would be for somebody to do that. Some people just have too much time on their hands.

Like those mysterious first bids that show up just under the Buy It Now price, that makes me wonder.
I'll keep my speculations on what really happened to myself, but either way you're last sentence sums it up.
