Hey people.

My boat is getting up there in age so it's time to start thinking about new upholstery. I've read from time to time that you can buy the skins for you boat and have a shop do the labor saving you some money. I was wondering if anybody knew how to get these materials and what an estimate of the price was?

Also I'm interested in the 3rd seat or jump seat, if anybody knows how to get a hold of one of these?

Thanks

Kai

I got my skin through my local MC dealer. $90 for a lower bench seat on my 99 PS205.

I did the same as Brian. Lower bench from dealer was like $100(99 Xstar). Tried to do some of the work myself. It was difficult. Took it into the local shop, They charged me around $150 to put it on. It was almost a $300 project for 1/2 a seat. But you could find a local shop to do it for cheaper then the one I did.

I did the same thing and thought it was really easy. An air stapler or electric stapler would have been better. But they fit great.

The secret is to do it somewhere warm so you can give the vinyl a good stretch while you're stapling it.

Use stainless staples if you can find them. You can also buy the trim piece (I forget the name) that covers your staples from any decent auto upholstery supplier.
