Can I use the same line to vent and empty the tanks with the Atwood Tsunami pumps?

I need to know if the pump will allow water to pass through it if it is turned off.

Thanks

they do. but i'm looking at the tsunami i just got in the mail, and the cartridge is really close to the inlet. I know you wouldn't have a problem with rules. i would say test it out to make sure your flow rate doesn't suck too bad.

are the vents for air or overflow?

nevermind I think I have it figured out.

They are hard tanks so I think that I need 3 lines.

A fill line
A vent line in the top that would vent the air out and then would overflow when there was no air in the tank
Empty line.

Will this work.

people usually have the vent and empty lines going out the same thru-hull. I'm assuming you would want to put a check valve on the vent line so water doesn't empty back in through the vent line. Not sure if there is a check valve that air can pass through. Anybody know?
