Replacing Leaf Springs - Help

My buddy has an old single axle trailer and one of the leaf springs is broken. Just by looking at it, it doesn't look too tough to just replace the entire leaf spring. Can anyone give me any advice on this project? How do I find the right replacement spring online since I don't have a local place that deals with trailers? Any tips for removal and replacement?

Been there with the very old Nautique trailer we had under our 1984 2001.

The stock leaf spring size was not available anywhere. I ended up welding a 4" C channel with new leaf supports under the trailer carrier section. It was an easy weekend project, no boat on trailer.

You might consider replacing both sides.

You want to replace both. If one broke, you can bet the other will in the near future.
