I've owned both hulls (2004, 2007, and have a 2009 on order) and agree with what greatdane said. Old hull is a very vert wake with not much transition. Abrupt pop that sends you straight up. Doesn't require much weight past stock ballast if any extra at all. I added weight to the bow on my 2004 just to give the wake a little more ramp. The new hull has a much better transition, although I wouldn't say it is really rampy. Kind of in between. Definitely much more ramp than the old 210 though. I run mine stock ballast + 520 lbs. of pop bags most of the time and it is killer. I have filled up sacks (another 800 lbs.) on top of that a few times as well and the wake was the same shape I am used to, just bigger. The new hull takes extra weight to get a great wake, but it doesn't require 2000+ lbs. like some boats do. (Message edited by aarond0083 on January 19, 2009)
