OK, I am adding 4 6x9 Polk audio speakers on the tower, and 1 10" sub, what would be the best way to do this,
1 amp for the sub and tower speakers? or 2 amps, 1 for the tower & 1 for the sub?

Also what would be a good amp, I really don’t want anything to extreme, but good enough to power some good sound.

Any thoughts would help.
Thanks
Ken

I love my ARC gear! But who knows, I am not really a stereo guy...
All I know is they never over heat or shut off and I run them pretty hard in 100+ temps.

Ken,

It really depends on the JL sub. If it is a W6 or W7 I would say look at something else. If it is like a W1 or W3 I think you will be O.K.

Mike,

are you saying that the W6 and W7 aren't worth it?? i'm in a bit of the same boat, have 4 tower speakers, and looking to add a sub..and need an amp set up...

I had the 850.4 in my last boat running six towers speakers, for two years, and it worked great.I just purchased and installed another Kicker 850.4 in my current boat. They aren't high end, but I've never had a problem with their amps.

Jeff, he's saying that the W6 and W7 can handle more power. and youneed a bigger amp to really push them.
