Ok, for those of you that know what Neutrik SpeakOn connectors are and are already using them, you may want to read another thread.

For those of you out there that are contemplating installing speakers on your tower, or like me, re-installing another new set of speakers on your tower, you gotta pick up some Neutrik connectors (http://www.neutrikusa.com/start.asp) for your install. I'd read about them in numerous threads out here, but had never seen them in use for myself. Since I was recently installing a replacement amp and hanging yet another new pair of speakers on my tower, I thought I'd clean up some of the flaws in my previous installs before installing my new tower setup. I re-ran speaker wire through the tower (Monster Cable 9 lead 16awg, neat stuff) and installed a Neutrik base connector ( http://www.samedaymusic.com/product--NTKNL8MPR) on the top of the gunnel just inside the rear leg of my tower. Then after running the single Monster Cable wire up through the tower, I installed a Neutrik Speakon line connector (http://www.samedaymusic.com/product--NTKNL8MPR) at the end of the wire at the bottom of my rear speaker leg. What a neat setup! Plug the line connector into the base connector, and you have a locked in 4 channel connection. Ready to lay the tower back after a day on the lake, or pull it off your boat all together for service, simply twist the line connector and pull it out of the socket and you're good to go. No more leaving extra speaker wire at the back leg of my tower (like in the past) to allow enough slack for my tower to lay back. I thought my last install looked clean, but with the use of the Neutrik connectors and the 9 lead Monster Cable wire, my current tower install looks better than factory (and better than my buddy's boat ).

And just to clarify before anybody asks, I have nothing to do with the manufactering or sales of any of these items, nor do I have any ties to the website(s) I referenced.
