A few years ago I was trying some hs 3's, landing on the board and riding away but popping the handle, but then I had two VERY hard falls and have been gun shy ever since. So last night I tried some ts and hs 3's and doing the same thing popping the handle, then it happened again. Caught an edge and went down HARD. I haven't had that kind of fall even doing raily's or any other invert. What can I do different? I'm keeping my head up, handle pass no problem. Any pointers?

You should try keeping the handle in tighter all the way through the trick. Handle position is everything with 3's. Where the handle is as you ride up and leave the wake is often where it ends up. Also, as you pull the handle to the small of your back to pass it make sure it's in tight as well. That should eliminate the handle popping out of your hand, unless you let go with your front hand too early.

Yea, I'm sure it looked something like that.
