Greetings from Central Florida. The 140's first stop was the Winter Park chain of lakes. You know as much as I wanted to ride this board first my 8 yo son is a big Murray fan. So I thought more of the history of the board's maiden voyage should be on someone that will remember this all his life ( & hopefully inspire him to reach for greater heights) Shaun I hope you don't get upset ,But hey if a Grom can ride it must be sweet! I will be delivering the board by hand to CJ in Palm harbour on Sunday to save on shipping time & to meet someone new from wakeworld. (If the pictures need to be on a link to save space go ahead)...Thank you Murray for thinking of this...Dave.

I don't want to sound like a goober, but this whole thing is really cool and makes me proud to be a part of the wakeboarding communtity. Mad props to Shaun for being such a stand up guy and Hype for supporting the whole thing.

Can't wait for it to show up on my door :-) Keep up the pics and posts on the 140's progress!

question: what happens is someone goes huge, and the board snaps! Does everyone else have to ride it with a split down the middle?

Garret I doubt that board would be likely to snap, looks thick in the center.

SWEET! Sorry for the caps, but I am pretty pumped this is already going really well. Chris met me at OWC yesterday morning so he should be shredding soon. thank dave and glad you had a good time with the family. Boards break. Not that often, but if something happens, it will be a bummer, but let's hope it goes well. We'll cross that bridge if we get there. I have to keep up with who it's going to next. will figure that out soon.

The 140 has made it's way to the west coast of Florida. Big thanks to Dave for driving it to my work and meeting me. I plan on riding it in the morning here on lake tarpon. I have to say the board looks bad a$$. I will take some pics tomorrow and post later.

CJ...What did you think of the ride?
Old     (02ssv)      Join Date: Aug 2007       04-01-2008, 5:23 PM Reply
Well I just got back in it's 8:20 pm and rode it again tonight for 2 more sessions. I think the board tracks super well and is very fast. It's very easy to take big out into the flats. Lots of pop and easy to control. I'm a fan. I haven't been on a Murray board in about 10 years and am kicking myself now. I do need a new board and I think this board is it.

Thanks again Shaun for the chance to demo this. It's all packed up and shipping in the am.

Cj...my feelings exactly...you described the ride very well. I absolutely dig my new rig. Just wanted to have others opinions. I can not believe how well this board rides. Everyone that gets a chance to ride this...will love it.

This board seems to be moving pretty quickly and I had my name/address fairly high up on the list...there is no need to ship it to MO this early in the season so I respectfully request to be bumped down until May/June.

All too cool. 145 is with Greg Gifford right now. wait, i need to start a 145 post. I will tell greg to do that. thanks again everyone for checking in with the progress. Shaun

Dave, thanks for asking, but I took it to OWC and left it in the office for people to try out there. told them to let whoever ride it, but keep it to less than 30 minutes a rider. wonder if anyone rode it?

Got home and the board was here! Not only that but my new binding were in. I knew the board would get here between today and monday but was bummed because I had to put the boat in the shop this morning I thought I would not get a chance to ride it and have to send it on. But thank to Jody at FL Inboards I got the boat back in one day. I had to replace the starter and the water pump but he said it was going to be the middle of the week before the Pump came in! I told him about the board and he took a pump off his own boat for me to get back in the water this weekend! I will not get out tomorrow but should get out on sunday after church. The board looks sick and I cant wait to get out on it.

The last thing I saw was a map of all the locations wanting the 140 on the original "official" post. It only had the first 20 or so names and addresses on it. I haven't seen one since then...

I think the idea is to just send it to the closest "pin" location on the map...but since we don't have an updated map...that seems to be a problem :-)

Ok guys the board was shipped out to day on its way to GA to Daniel Bennet. There is not an updated map but from what they said it will make its way through the SE starting on the east coast. So it looks like GA, the carolinas, and AL but from there I have no idea.

Ok here are a few pics my wife took. She has not quite got the picture taking thing down. We forgot the camera on Sunday so this is on monday with 2 people in the boat. I am a big dude that would normally ride the 145 but I wanted everyone in our crew to ride it so I went with the 140. I was very impressed. Thank you shaun for putting this thing together, the closest shop we have to demo is 5 to 6 hrs away. Since this is the tracking post I won't write a full review but I will in the boards section.

I hear you Luker. The BAMA boys are ready. Maybe Shaun is letting each person know where to send it next. If so, that's cool. Maybe there is a map with the board. At this point to me it's a mystery on who gets it next but I'm sure it's under control.

I had the 145 and Shaun pretty much let me send where I wanted. I looked at all of the people on the pay it forward thread and sent it to the guy who I thought was the closest. It is pretty loose. By the way Reese, the 145 is sweet. I am also a big guy (205). I definitely am hoping to get the board this summer.

I am not sure where it is now, but Brett B., North Carolina is a short trip for the baord to make from Georgia. I think I am going to be taking my first pull this weekend : ) Should be 80 degree air temp and close to 70 on the water temp : )

Josh Busby, was the one making the list.
http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/555999.html?1207987344 From what I can gather there has not been an updated list. I'm assuming that someone may have figured that there is enough people on the list already.
Old     (trdon)      Join Date: Sep 2007       04-18-2008, 7:43 PM Reply
Kinda the point. I am on the list ahead of people who have gotten it. Not saying I wanted it now because we still have ice on lakes here but I would like to know when it is coming my way because I want to hook up my MN brothers and get a day set up to try it out.
Old     (wake2wake103)      Join Date: Jul 2003       04-18-2008, 8:00 PM Reply
Brett had it last. There is no "list" of order. Paul was right about the original. The board is just going by geographical location to minimize shipping costs. Brett should have passed it on by now. And the next person should be about to give it up, because I gave it to Brett on Saturday. Soon as there are no more people in Atlanta, I am sure it will be headed you way pretty soon Jonathan.

I gave it off to Britt, not sure when he's riding it... Sorry, I tried to find this thread to say something but I couldn't.

I was thinking about coming home to ATL next weekend (25th) so if you guys want to pass it along to the Alabama crowd without having to ship it I'll meet you somewhere to pick it up. And possibly catch a set on your boat :-)

I'm sure there are several riders in ATL so if its not ready to pass along I understand. Just let me know... dlluker@yahoo.com

There isn't a master list accompanying the board. I think most people are sending to people close to them on the original list (by the way I'm sending it out tomorrow to Chris Shakespeare).

Someone (Shaun?) should make a master list if the board is supposed to be shipped around according to when people signed up instead of the current person just picking someone off the list.

By the way, even though the weather didn't cooperate (winds 10-15 mph) I took the board out over the weekend along with some friends. I was really impressed with the pop although I didn't get to ride it much (I wasn't supposed to be riding at all since I am ACL-less in my left knee but I couldn't pass up the chance).

A couple other guys rode it as well and both were impressed with the ride especially once they rode it finless.

If you go by who's on the list "First" Then It will spend more time traveling than on the water, Plus she shipping cost will increase with the added distance. It should hit the Southern - Western areas before even thinking about a trip up north. Even if Josh did not update the map look on the list for someone close to you. For those up north , Have the board when you can enjoy it& not freezing

We're not freezing in MO...just stoked about getting to demo the board (and trying to learn to properly set my axis on a HS/BS 3)...Don't lose sight of the the fact that at some point this summer, be it sooner or later, a brand new board from Mr. Murray is going to arrive at our doorsteps with no expectations other than ride it, enjoy it, and pass it on...I for one don't care if we pass it clockwise or counter, I'm just happy to be in the rotation

doing my best to keep the boards moving. trying to keep it on the water, like dave said. will take a look for where to send the 35 and 40 next. glad everyone is enjoying it when they get it. gotta go, only a few minutes before I go out and ride. getting ready for wakegames this weekend.

Chris, I would suggest sending it to someone in south Alabama before it goes too much further north. Wink, wink..... Just to save on shipping of course. Luker said he would be in Atlanta soon, so that could be a definite option.

Have fun with the board. We're definitely looking forward to riding it.

What exactly is too much north : ) We are all southerners buddy. Beginning of the summer, end of the summer, either way I get my first pull tomorrow on my new to me 1999 Launch. It has been close to three years since I have been in the water (wakeboarding), that Murray may end up hurting me : ) Yall just let me know when you want it to end uo in NC. Is anyone else from NC?

Oh lord, it is getting closer. I can smell it. We went out on Friday. Surface temp was nice, 5 feet down was a little brisk. Still an all in all good day. Got pulled by the coast guard. My boy that was driving my boat had never driven an inboard before. The coast guard is just 10-15 feet away about to toss us a line and he stomps the Supra in reverse tossing my other buddy in the floor board. Needless to say, that was the story of the night over a couple beers. I can tell it is going to be a good summer.
