basically everything breaks down into 2 different rockers: 3-stage, and continuous.
A 3-stage rocker board has a flat spot between the feet, and kinks up at the tip and tail.
A continuous rocker, is basically just one continuous arc or curve, throughout the length of the board.
The benefit to the 3-stage is that if you hit the wake right wear the rocker line kinks, you will get booted. If you hit it before or after the kink, it will feel as if you didn't pop at all because the angles of the board and wake weren't optimized.
The benefit to a continuous rocker is it feels the same with no relevance as to where the rocker line hits the wake. The drawback is that there really isn't that perfect sweet spot that you could possibly hit, to get the boot, that you would with a 3 stage.
continuous = consistency, less boot
3-stage = more boot, less consistency
