does anyone know approx. how much fuel and x-star will burn with the 350hp verses the 343hp on the new cc 210.

Im an MC guy. Love em and honestly Its hard to say now that they have the catalytic converters on the MCX350's now but if I had to guess Id say the CC210 would for the simple fact its lighter, shorter, and narrow. Just my 2 cents I could be wrong. Like I said Id take an MC any day of the week, but being honest it just makes sense that the CC would get better fuel economy

I didn't realize on that last thread that you were comparing a NEW 210. I some how missed that. I actually have no experience with that boat.

I think it's going to be different for everyone. Altitude, ballast, number of passengers, riding speed, everything will vary.

Even if one boat burns one more gallon than the other per set, would that really sway your decision? When you're spending that much dough for a boat, is $20 extra at the end of the day going to matter?

Maybe this type of thinking is why I have no money.

I was thinking the exact same thing J, buying a $50k+ boat and worried about a very minor difference in fuel consumption

hey i can still ask, just checking all options and no 20 bucks does not matter but it is for my own info, i like to find out as much as i can if thats ok. i have found a great deal on a 06 xstar and have never owned one. when you call the dealers all they can do is bash the other so just getting other opions. Thanks

an responding to jarrod if it matters we are real close to sea level and we usually run with 4 0r 5 peaple with full standard ballast and sometime with a couple extra 90lbs bags. speed is 20-23.Thanks

Someone help this guy out and post up your fuel usage. I have been behind the boats but can't really say what gas usage is in either but it is fair to assume that the 210 is way more efficient.

8GPH vs 5GPH would sway me. If you boat 10 hours a week for 25 weeks, that works out to $8000 vs. $5000 for the year at $4/gal. Maybe $3G is nothing to some of you????

With stock ballast and an extra couple hundred pounds, the difference is really insignificant I bet.

8GPH vs. 5GPH might sway me too, but that's unlikely. If you were comparing the older 210, I'd say there's a chance, but isn't the new 210 bigger?

If efficiency is number one, then get an older (pre 07) 210 or a MC X1.

Okay, I checked...the new 210 weights 3800lbs, and the xstar weights 4250. The difference is 450lbs.

thanks for all the help was just curious for my own sake it was not going to sway me one way or the other. I had an 05 210 and could not tell you what the burn was but i know some guys watch that stuff. Thanks again

You should check the type of gas they require. I believe the MC requires 89 octane. I don't know about the CC. If CC only requires 87 octane, than that would make a difference as well.

I agree with the others above, but I understand your concern. Gas bills are high, especially if you ride a lot.

Anymore... the best boat is the one that has a full gas tank!
