Are automotive oil filters different then indmar oil filters? Can they be used on a boat?

I prefer Napa gold filters. just take the number from the old filter to Napa, and they will cross reference it. it's the same as a car oil filter, but it's a very high quality filter.

i use the "purolator gold" or something, just look in the indmar service manual, and cross reference the # they give you for whatever with the purolator number, and if you want, you can get the associated "upgrade" filter

stay away from fram, their stuff is awful

not a true study/experiment, but a good read.

go with the napa gold or a wix(both are the same) they are about the best you can get. Just stay away from FRAM

Can never go wrong with factory A/C Delco or Motorcraft depending on brand of motor. If they motor requires an anti-siphon valve and/or a certain type of bypass valve then it better get it or you run the risk of engine damage.
