Good non lace bindings?

I use the State bindings that came with my State 140 WB. The board works for now but I cant stand the lose feel around the lower part of my ankle and heel. I realize that the State bindings are designed to fit a wider variety of feet and thats why they are loose.

what size is your foot? I'm selling my '04 Large Ultras for $100. They've been used for a season, but the only signs of wear are marks on the baseplate from the racks.

yes they are lace up ones but with the 2 seprate laces you can get em as tight as you want on the ankle and the foot, they are super comfortable too

i know you were looking for non lace up ones but if you go for higer end bindings the laces are the way to go

just my opinion though

Thats sucks that your ultra bindings are too small. What is the "trick" to getting into these really tight bindings? I keep reading reviews and lots of people say "it is hard to get into these bindings unless you know what you are doing". What do they mean "know what you are doing"?

I've got a pair of blue Ultras that I can sell you for $75 + shipping. They are XXL and in very good shape. They are great for a size 12-13 foot.

I think that refers to the position of your foot when you get into one of the Ultras, etc? If your not straight heading in, your not getting in-without a struggle? Could also mean, knowing if you need lube or not. First time I used em, I used lube, but that was along time ago, and lube isn't really needed, "if" you know what you doing. For non laces, try the Byerly's. Good luck.

ndh2o XXL seems like it would be too big. What is your shoe size? How locked in did your ultras feel?

Will local shops let you demo bindings as well as boards? How does Demoing a board and bindings work? Do they have a bunch of current board/bindings in stock that are specifically for this purpose? Or is it like a special event that happens once or twice a year?

Depointe/Thane,

I wear a size 12 and ride with large 04 Ultra's... Of course I am an ex-jumper so I like em tight. My feet are a bit narrower than most guys 12s too.

Soap on the feet and in the bindings does the trick. It's sometimes a little tough getting the binding off my bad left ankle especially at the end of a long weekend when it's swollen from riding.

Mikeski when you say tight does it cut off your circulation? My state are barely tight and they just get looser over the course of the day. I think I need to get away from such an adjustable binding. Size 9-15 is a little too wide of a range.

my bindings (04 parks) are pretty difficult to get off, even after loosening everything up, but they are a snap to get on, and they do not give me any pinch points or loss of circulation what-so-ever, any ideas as to how to get them off easier? sometimes i get violent and i'm scared i am going to tear something..

CLinton the easiest way that i have found to get out of any pari of bindings is to stand up in the water with the board under and jump up... 2 or 3 times and you should get out of any binding

Non-lace HL's look at the Byerly BOA or 3DS. The BOA is super easy to get into and you can dial in the cinched feel you are looking for. 3DS abou the same with velcro straps.

I'm all about lace bindings. They are super easy to adjust and you can make changes mid ride if you aren't feeling it.

The easiest way to get out of boots is to grab your toe edge and pull it towards you and down at the sme time. Pops right off everytime.

Heavy............ my friend Swears by that trick also but I must have deformed feet. I can NOT get bindings off that way! True its probably harder in Ultras by 'said' freind rides the same kind?!!
