That looks a lot like one of our X2's. It's not right until water hits the rub rail in the nose when you're idling back to the rider.

BTW that wake must be sick, but I bet your drivers are always paying attention to the nose of the boat.

Andy...I assume you're running lead in that thing to get so much weight in there. What is your set-up as far as how much weight and where (and what it is..i.e. lead or sacs). Thanks.

This is how we started back in the day. This boat was called "the sub" for obvious reasons.

Tyler that's just mean making people waterski with that much weight in the boat.

Andrew, I run a 1000lb triangle fat sac in the front. A pair of 600lbs custom sacs in the trunk, Two six hundreds on the floor. Internal 700lb ballast, and the rest are lead free wieght. Then gear and posse on top of that. It rules.

4,000lbs? Sweet mother. What engine are you running and long does it take you to get on plane? Other than at the gas pump, is there really that much difference than say if you were running 2,000lbs?

Andy...thanks for sharing your set-up detail. And I thought that 2100lbs in my tiny ass X-5 was a lot of ballast!! Sweet wake by the way.

Andy - do you set off the West Coast Tsunami warning system? Have the Pipeline masters officials hired you to make bigger waves?

Oscar, I am running the Predator Merc. It does take a few seconds to plane out. And yes the difference between 2000 and 4,000 is huge. At least 10 inchs of wake.

that's so wild. The poor driver must be super alert all the time (not that a driver shouldn't be alert all the time anyway), just even more so in this case. I LOVE it :-) I'll see how much i can sink the O.G. this Sunday and hopefully get a pic up here

Andy, your running a mercruiser in there? What happened to the factory Indmar?

Andy,

Seeing those pics gives me hope for doing crazy stuff on my boat someday. I have your setup minus the sacs on the floor and my rear sacs are the Fly High set.

If you ever come down to Texas you can show me how my boat is supposed to be used.

Here is my '01 X-Star with 10 ppl, and about 1300lbs plus factory ballast. Yes, the wake was great !!!
