Ok, I admit I started skiing slalom, but now I only ride and wakeskate, easier on the body. But anyone who has ever skied into some shortline will appreciate this new record.

I pulled it off the Tige Owners site, but only because I was too lazy to find a better article.

43 off is like skiing with a friggin dog leash, and a short one at that...Pretty impressive.

Congrats to Jamie, he is one talented dude, I grew up snow skiing with him and he's just as sick on the snow.

The acceleration must be incredible at that length.

That's awesome, 43 off of a 75 foot rope leaves only 32 feet, the centerline of the course to the center of the turn ball is 37' 8 3/4", so the rope wont even reach the ball. Next world record will have to have Go-rilla arms. Makes my 28 off runs (back in the day)look like tubing.

Congrats, how long had the old record stood and who was that held by?

Roomservice, Chris Parrish had the old World Record at 1 1/2 buoys at 43 off a couple years ago. I think he was on a Monza.

Parrish set the Record on a Sixam. I think the 1 at 43 record set by Mapple, JB, and Rogers was held for 9 years.

I wonder if we'll ever see anyone run a complete 43.

The thing that sucks is the 2nd paragraph where is says "if approved" well it was NOT approved. Really sucks for Jamie but he will get it again soon.

He is a cool dude, I spend most winters in Alta with him and Chris Rossi. Talk about charging the mountain, those guys are crazy.

The video makes it very hard to see if he made it and I guess now that he did not. It looks like he is very close to getting it soon.

He did make it. The reason it wasn't approved was the site wasn't running a boat path camera. After a record run is made, they have to review the boat path to make sure it is within tolerance. Since they couldn't review, JB got screwed.

they actually did have 1 boat path camera running, that camera confirmed the boat was within the path. however they require a camera at both ends, one was not turned on.

JB said in an interview that he did not wish to comment on teh politics of the approval.
