Audio help/suggestions

I just recently bought a Pioneer DEH-P680MP head unit for my 97 Tige. Along with it I got 4 Polk DB650 6-1/2" speakers. The head unit comes with the ipod connector, so that will be nice. My question is what sort of amp and sub should I get? I haven't convinced my wife to let me buy tower speakers.....yet....so I want to be able to plan for them, but not install them just yet.

The head unit has a sub pre-amp, and apparently 3 pairs of pre-amp outs. I don't want to go crazy with price....again, gotta keep the wife in check

Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations??

I RECENTLY INSTALLED A KENWOOD KTS-300MR IN MY BOAT. IT WAS GREAT UNTIL THE FIRST TIME I WASHED THE BOAT. I TRIED NOT TO GIVE IT DIRECT SPRAY BECAUSE I HAD YET TO GET A FACE COVER FOR IT. THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING AFTER THE WASH. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON TROUBLESHOOTING. DO YOU THINK IT IS FRIED? AND HOW TO KNOW?

How much water did you get on/in it? Was the power on when you did it? Did you power it on when it was still wet?

Its possible that just a fuse blew, but I wouldn't be very optimistic.
