Hey guys i've been looking around at different boards and have been trying to figure out a new board to replace my small '05 128 Motive. I didn't really like it once i started jumping the wake and progressing.
What i like:
three stage
soft landings
pop, not distance
good tracking, not really for the super loose feel
weight: 120 lbs
height:5' 5"
I was looking at the LF Witness or Watson. Would they be good boards?

Both of those boards are good boards.
Based on what you're looking for in a board I'd go with the Watson over the Witness.

the watson is the perfect board for your riding style. i want pretty m uch the opposite. i ride the lyman, and my dad rides the watson. and thats how the watson rides exactly

Alright thanks. Should i go for the 134 or higher because i'm getting bigger quickly since i'm a teenager? Once i'm bigger, would it make a huge different on the 134, or should i be safe and get the next size up?

go with the 134. its a wide board and that will give you more time on it. most people on wakeworld will say go bigger because its trendy, but the board companies make size charts for a reason.

I am 5'10 140 and I rode my buddy's 134 watson when I was waiting for my new board to be delivered. I really liked it, its really wide so I wouldnt worry about the 134 being too small. Plus coming from a 128 motive the 138 would feel massive.
My vote is for the 134 watson.

08 cwb transcend platinum with the long fin extensions is something to demo if you have the opportunity. good luck and let us know what you go with

Alright thanks again. One last question, in order to save some cash, I was wondering if there is anything different between the 08 and 09 watson. There doesn't really seem to be any big differences between the two to make the 09 so much better than the 08. I'm just making sure to save some money.

There are some differences I believe, but I haven't ridden the 09 to make any comment. I just know the 08 was a great board

Additional ideas:
on the LF line the Shane may be another good choice
CWB- transcend (this year has a long deep center spine)
The new SINE board(s)
but of the two mentioned, watson

I demoed every 07 LF board and then bought the Watson. Shane and Soven are way faster.
Also remember the Watson is designed as a wide-bodied board and it says to pretend it is about 3cm longer than it says. So 134 is like a 137. I ride the 134, I am 165 5'7. Before that I rode the original 132 Trip.
Love the Watson. There shouldn't be too much difference from 07-09.

Alright, yeah i'm not looking for a really fast board. How do the 08 CWB Absolute ride? I can't try any boards at my shop near me because they don't allow people to demo them.

I rode the absolute for about 2 1/2 seasons and loved it. Snappy straight up and down pop. Not too fast but definetly responds well. If you ride with the third fin it tracks awesome. Loose without the third fin. Very soft landings because of the spine down through the center of the board. That board definetly elevated my riding through those two seasons

One more for the Watson 134, I'm 6'1 170 and I ride an 06 134. I could go up a size, but the 134 was cheap second hand so I grabbed it. You won't outgrow it in a hurry, it's a wide board as stated above so it rides a little "bigger" and the landings are incredibly soft. I ride it finless, but if you add fins it locks in solid. Haven't ridden the Absolute so I can't help you there.

i ride a danny harf V1 and i absolutely love it, has excellent pop, and overall a great handling board, of course i havent rode a liquid force. so i wouldnt know how to compare

Ridden both and honestly they ride very similarly. I think the Absolute is a little easier on edge as it has very thin rails. They both have a concave center (or spine) and land pretty well. I'm biased towards the Absolute as I rode it for 3 years, it was a great shape! If you can find a closeout Platinum core I'd recommend it, pound lighter and extra poppy.

Soft landing + Pop + 3 stage = SS Recoil.
I have been on the one, ibex, watson, shane, and marius.... not one even compares to the POP of the slingshot and the landings are crazy soft.
honestly, it is hands down exactly like what you described.... the board is amazing.
