My family and I have had way too much fun on that boat! So far it has been worth every penny. I just talked with Bob at Extreme and I'm looking to do a small sponsorship deal at their grand opening at the new location.

When and where is the new one opening?

It's at the old Supreme Marine location just off of I-35 & 95th street (a couple of blocks north on the frontage road Costco is on). They're open for business, I bought some supplies there a couple of weeks ago. Bob was there with some of the old Supreme staff. This is going to be really, really handy for us Johnson County'ites

they killed my Centurion dealership though!

I am glad for the JoCo location though, that drive to Oak Grove was killer. It took me over an hour from Olathe the last time I went out there.

I am from Fort Scott (about an hour south of Johnson County). Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
I am not a very good wakeboarder at all but would love to hook up with someone who is just to see if I could learn something

Great turnout for the midwest. If I came down for a weekend at KC Watersports is there any way I could hook up with anybody for a pull?

Hello everyone. I just found this posting today. Moved to Overland Park last fall and have been wakeboarding for the last 7 years. I just bought a new wetsuit 2 days ago. If anyone is going out this weekend and needs a third, forth or fifth please let me know, i'll help with the gas. I'll be ready to go all weekend. Reply or just email me @ brianjcody@hotmail.com

Thanks

F&&& this weather lets hit the lake anyways... I don't even rememeber what the sun looks like. Can someone post a picture?

The weekends have SUCKED for the last 3 weeks... Watch Monday when I'm wasting away at work it will be like 70 degrees and sunny. I hate this state!

OH SUN WHERE DID YOU GO? I MISS YOU!!!

It looks like it is going to be pretty nice this coming week. I can get off work anytime, family business, but I still working on the stereo and a few other things in my boat.

If anyone wants a pull around at Melvern lake, my boat should be going soon.

Well, look at it this way Brad, at least you're not going to be in the Netherlands for the next couple of weeks where it's colder there than here, and I don't think the sun peeks out very often. While y'all are havin' fun at the cable park next weekend, I'll be enjoying more cold weather. Yay. I still haven't been out even once yet this summer, and it's starting to drive me nuts.

Anyone else?

Generally sunny. High near 60F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.

BRING IT ON. I plan on getting out! :-) Thursday the water was in the low 50's. May have cooled some, but nice enough.

Phil, someday we'll teach you. Maybe you can pick it up for when that old body of yours starts to fall apart.

Nice today, wish I didn't have to work!

Not sure on the exact date, but probably before too long. As for colors, I'll have to check with my wife. She is the color picker on the team, that has always been her job. Last year I didn't know what we got until we picked it up.

I'm lucky, the wife is not a big fan of pink.
Funny thing is I do remember some pink and teal boats in the 80's. Now those were PIMP !

As for skiing, probably not. That was dropped like a dress on a prom date. I'll just surf and drive for the keiki.

Wise man once said "a diverse man is a man of many colors and excitment". Been putting off getting the boat due to weather, but man after today I think its time. Hope all you guys are doing great and we are looking forward to seeing you all this summer. By the way I have seen Phil ski, not pretty. Pretty good wakeboarder though

Its NOT PINK! It just has a pink stripe, and besides it takes a real man to have pink on his boat!!! Besides when it has the best slalom hull ever built it can have whatever color it wants!

LOTO doesn't know whats going to hit it this weekend!

Us buoyheads have to come over here and share our vast tournament boat knowledge with all you johnny come lately wakeboarders.

I have to disagree on best slalom hull ever. That would probably go to CC's TSC 1. I would give you #2 though right there with the Diamond hull.

Funny, this is the most trash talk I think I've ever seen out of this crew, other than Logan's random swerver comments. All in good fun guys, I love the wakeboarders, they always bring the chicks out!

Not going to make it to the cablepark, going to be at Skiin' Freezin' 8 at LOTO. Already about 60 registered for that event from Iowa, Iowa State, Purdue, Missouri, K-State, KU and some scattered from Miami-Ohio, Cincinnati, etc. Should be a great weekend on the water no matter if you spend it at the cable or at LOTO.

As for the Hillsdale marina, the name is based on us KU alumni that helped "pay" for it. It's a concept you State College people may not understand - LOL

Does anyone else think it's bad news bears to have an 80 slip marina on a lake the size of Hillsdale? Oh yea, and I'm sure the gas will be $12/gal at the dock.
Old    hyperchick05            04-02-2005, 1:39 AM Reply
Well, I made it to dutch-land in one piece. You think $12/gallon for your boat is bad, they pay $7/gallon for their cars here! All the cars I have seen have been Renault, Saab, Fiat, Peugot, and BMW. However most of the dutch travel by bicycle or by foot. The towns aren't as spread out here, so we have walked everywhere just about. We're not in Amsterdam, we just landed there. We are in a town called Neuwegein. We are planning to go spend the day in Amsterdam tomorrow. There are huge canals everywhere! I should have brought my board!

Only a Jayhawk would be smart enough to put an 80 slip marina on Hillsdale. 90% of the traffic at Hillsdale is probably day traffic within 45 minutes of their JoCo home. Not much reason to have a slip there.

Randy, I though that KU was a state college as well, I guess I missed the part where they were privatized and joined the IVY League. Snob Hill all the way.

Like they say, Jayhawker by birth, Wildcat by the grace of god.

Maybe they named it that because only those snob KU people could actually afford a slip and lift rental. I wonder how well there proshop is going to work out.

GO STATE!!

Okay, kids, grow up. It's supposed to be a sports rivalry, not a personal rivalry. Point is we have an 80 slip marina on Hillsdale, it's probably going to work out very nicely, because I know y'all go out there quite a bit regardless of where you live. So appreciate it for what it is no matter who paid for it, enjoy it, be greatful for a chance, and let it go.

They always said, if you can't go to college, go to KU.

Sorry, I have been raised for the last 25 years to despise KU. I got a little kick out of the March to the Arch shirts they had at Dick's Sporting Goods today. Guess it sounded better than 'March to the Sooner State and lose to Bucknell'.

I could really care less about the marina's name and I hope most of you guys know me well enough to know that the wakeboarding and KU bashing is all in good fun.

You all missed out on this butter at LOTO this weekend!

Too bad this year, K-State can't even come back with "Well, at least we beat you in football." KU had a 4-7 record this year, I believe K-State had the same record, but we still managed to beat K-State 31-28. And might I add, I think we did beat K-State twice in basketball this year......again.
K-State did not go to a bowl game this year, nor did they go to the tournament.
So, go ahead pussy cats, run away with your tail between your legs, you have now been declawed, because the BIG BAD JAYHAWKS came and beat your a$$ this year in both sports.

But all the love for you guys even though you are "wild"cats.
You are right Nick, it is all in good fun, just as long as we all know the facts.

I really didn't mean to start this. I just thought that maybe they could have come up with a little better name than that. Maybe one a little bit more original. Anyway, I saw it this weekend and it looks really nice. I wish however I could have taken a better look but I had to pull my boat out because it was LEAKING LIKE A MOTHA-F---ER.
