Went a little gangster on my new boat and was nervous how it was gonna turn out, but I am digging it. I guess you will either love it or hate the colors. I really have been digging Boatmate's two tone paint jobs, so I wanted to try and mix it in. I love the accent it adds to the boat. Boatmate also has so many wheel options for their trailers it makes it fun. Not like the old days of one color trailer and a steel wheel. Nice work Boatmate.

Worked with Active Water Sports in Portland and as always they were awesome to work with. I highly recommend them if you are in Portland. Was able to pull it home just before the Oregon rain hit (literally as I was backing it into the garage). I am pretty demanding and they are always johnny on the spot.

Supra really made some sweet changes this year that I am excited about too. They are stepping it up every year! I will have more to report once I get it on the water. New vinyls, new cushion configuration, toggle switches on the dash, new Indmar surf motor (bling bling), Polk Audio speakers, and a power drivers seat (up down). Still have to install my tower speakers, sub, amps, etc.... That will all be Exile. More pics once I order that stuff and install it. It looks naked w/o tower speakers! Still considering tinting the windows a bit too. Best part of it is my garage has the "new boat" smell!

I am thinking about tinting the SUPRA logo on the side. Almost black it out, but still have the raised SUPRA lettering. What are your thoughts on that?

This is the drive home..... Something was following me in the mirror

Really digg the trailer colors. Accents well wi the grey trim.

Congrats!
Just go ahead and book ole Frank for the cross country drive !

Love it, Tyler! And yes, why not tint the Supra logo? But I wouldn't go completely black. If you smoke them, it might match the charcoal stripe and the two-town trailer nicely.

Is that a new steering wheel? Switches look cool. I'm not sure I can tell a difference on the vinyl, but maybe when I see it in person. The black piping is a nice touch against the gray and white. As always, the carpet looks PLUSH.

The new engine cover reminds me of the old MCX cover, only gray instead of red.

Overall, another nice 21V. I keep thinking you'll run out of different black combinations. But you keep innovating!

Tyler, so sick. I absolutely love it. If there is anything I have learned in 5+ years of wakeworld is you end up with sick looking boats. Supra should pay you for helping make them look good.

Ha ha... Thanks polarbill.

Rick Tinker and Active Water Sports... You hear that??? I want my next boat free or as Brett says you should pay me!!! Wonder how that will go over on the next boat negotiation?

Who did you work with to find out your options of trailer wheels? I asked my dealer and called skiers choice, both told me my only option was the wheels that you see on the worlds edition trailers. The boat and trailer look absolutely money btw.

Shows my main issue with Supra. The boat looks great but I HATE that raised area in the walk though. I want it to be level all the way to the bow.
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       04-12-2012, 11:17 PM Reply
You can get it as a walk through. I order mine with a playpen. I love the ability to hide a bunch of weight and still have storage. You pick how you want it. Just my preference.

Really? I have never seen a Supra without the step up. I have seen them without the cushions but they still had that rounded stepup

cobra, the lauch has the "playpen",if u get the sunsport thats the walk through..i think thats the only differanxce in the two. ive done a lot of research on these boats as im in the prosess of ordering a lauch 242 worlds...have u ever sat up front with ur legs in the isle??no u always out ur feet up. so y not have it. and for the most part the kids go upo front in my boat anyways..wel i love the boat and congrats!! lovein it will have pics some time of mine on here too.

Looks KILLER bro! Lovin that color scheme!

I've been thinking of doing something with my raised chrome letters too. I saw it on the Mapple icon edition nautique and have been thinking about since. Great minds think alike!

Cobra-
launch = playpen , sunsport = walk thru . Here's the year/model but sunsport (with a bow filler cushion in place) I've always had launch's too.

Gotcha.. Learned something today!

However, I think if I ever got out of the Mastercraft family and the X-45 I would probably get the 24' Tige
Old     (ripr)      Join Date: Mar 2002       04-13-2012, 4:52 AM Reply
Tyler- Did your dealer do the heater install? I see your outlets are in the main compartment, and mine are up in the walk thru. I think I want mine where yours are! lol

I could take or leave the aircraft style switches. But, having looked at the regular toggles since my first Supra in 2004, I'm glad to see something different. Positioning and functionality are definetly there.

Man, that is a great looking boat! I've always thought Supra builds such a streamlined and classy boat. I don't understand all the switches, separate radio controller and clutter in the dash though. Shouldn't the LCD monitor take the place of a lot of that stuff?

Tyler knocks it out of the park again. That boat is ridiculous!!!
Old     (ripr)      Join Date: Mar 2002       04-13-2012, 6:09 AM Reply
The VISION system requires the key to be in the 'run' position. The secondary switches can be used while the boat is off to run your stereo, lights, etc. I spend alot of time just hanging out on my boat in a cove, or at a dock, or just in the middle of the lake and use those switches alot. I've never checked, but I think when your boat is in the 'run' position, the hour meter is ticking away. Also, if the VISION system ever fails, there's a secondary set of controls for your essential functions.

Sorry to keep jacking your thread, Tyler. I started drinking coffee WAY too early this morning.
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       04-13-2012, 6:24 AM Reply
Brandon - you would have to talk to your local dealer. I am sure if you want to step up and pay to go to a different wheel they can talk to Boatmate. Not the norm, but I am sure the option is there, if you are willing to pay extra.
NAW - that is the factory position for the heater and has been on my last boat as well. Not sure if it changes because of the playpen versus the walkthrough. The heater core is actually mounted in the large cubby behind and above the batteries. BTW you are not jacking my thread. I actually need your help to answer some of those questions and I agree with what you said. Keep it coming.

that thing is sickkkk!!! IMO it looks better with the playpen, i also love the fact that you can stick all kinds of weight in it and its hidden. To me its not a "supra" without that playpen! looks a bit naked without it! If you're going to "smoke" your supra logo definitely do the launch 21v too. don't forget that. I think that would look sweet! awesome looking boat, you're making me want to get one for my next boat for sure!

Are those tie downs for your Z5? Is that something you came up with or did that come with the boat now? Either way looks like a great idea I have heard about some of the Z5's coming lose while going down the highway.

Those straps are for transport. I meant to pull them off for the pics, but I forgot. The dealer left them on for transport. I actually have already taken them off and use them for long transport. I have traveled from Oregon to So Cal with a Z5 and never had an issue, but for a long trip like that it is probably a good idea to use the straps.

Thanks I love the idea of those straps I may have to grab some from HD for some of my longer trips. I have never had any issues with mine either, however Jarrod that is on this board some has. He had the Z5 that had the compression fittings at the ends that connected to the tower. The fittings failed and off came the Z5.

Great boat love the new interiors.

So flossy as always but this time the trailer has been taken up a notch! I've loved everyone of your boats. I remember pining over your blacked out 06 on CL when I was searching for a boat in 07. Great choices my man.

Like Brian said, get that over to Exile

But overall looks sick! Get it on the lake, and take some on the water pictures! I bet it will pop against blue water.

Sick boat Tyler, great color combo with your tow vehicle. But then again, all of your boats are beautiful! I really like the new stainless toggle switches SC is using, so much better than the old plastic style. Jealous of your adjustable seat!

I would love to see SC make the 22SSV look just like the 21V, its by far IMO there best looking boat they have. The 22 is in need of a complete hull and deck re-design!

Have fun out there! hope you are in the 100 hour club at the end of the season!

Got the boat on the water and got the stereo installed over the weeekend. The new Indmar surf motor sounds awesome. Very throaty. The Exile system is pounding. Just a few minutes of tuning and it is gonna be ready. Supposed to be 80 today so will be playing hookie here in a few hours.

Wow! Looks really good man. I love your interior choices.

If you don't mind me asking, what on earth are you walking across in the third picture up? Looks treacherous as hell. Round, slick, burning hot black logs loosely tied together? I'd say, when six beers deep, you've got a 50/50 chance of breaking a leg before making it to your boat!
Old     (ripr)      Join Date: Mar 2002       05-07-2012, 8:59 AM Reply
Haha..that's what I was wondering. After a day of boating I'd never make it across those!

Boat looks sick Tyler. Believe it or not, I have zero hours on mine. Too much working, not enough boating.

Ha ha.... That is a buddy of mine. water levels are real high right now and our beach is covered up so we hang out occasionally on some old dredging pipes. They are all tied together and make a decent place for a bunch of boats to tie up and hang out. Yes it is treacherous and that is half the fun of hanging out there and watching people fall in to 54 degree water.
Old     (jcfox00)      Join Date: Mar 2009       05-07-2012, 9:20 AM Reply
There is a wakeboard video out there of pros sliding those pipes. pretty intense crashes in that with one guy falling in between those pipes face first with his board on and slipped out underneath it. Someone will probably post the video part of that.
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       05-07-2012, 9:41 AM Reply
Yeah I have seen that video and there were also some still shots of them riding on it as well. This area is now a "no wake" zone so we can't ride back here anyway. Just hang out.

We have not wakeboarded yet this year, but had them last year. You can still hear them for sure. They are not like having horns, but you can definitely still hear the music and it sounds good.

It was just for the pics. That is why you see the guy running over cause it was starting to get close to the pipes. It never touched the pipes. ha ha

It got a little nutty on Monday. It is supposed to be in the 80's all weekend and into next week, so I would imagine this will be the weekend to get it all started....
