i know its an '08 but i cant remember if CWB has a 1 year or a 2 year warranty. i went riding on sunday, and when i was putting on my bindings for the first run of the day. i went to tighten it up, and snap. the lace on my binding broke off without hardly pulling on it at all. here are some pics. what do you guys think i should do?
the bindings are 08 cwb answer ltds.

Just buy some tramping laces and re-lace them. The stock laces are less than useless, mine break after 4-5 rides

you want them to replace your bindings because of busted laces? i doubt anyone would replace 08 bindings with new ones for busted laces. ask for new laces.

just buy some new laces, like darren suggested, and you won't have to wait for an answer from cwb. problem solved.

An Army Surplus store will have what you need. Ours has about 10 different color options as well.

These guys are right, but if you want original laces, your logo proshop should have replacements in stock for all boots.

Round skate laces work great too. Tough to get back through the little clasp holder but stay tight perfectly.

They will be tighter to fit through but it will work better and grip better. I had an issue of it actually pulling the stretch part apart and keeping the main line inside and it wouldnt grip.

But the stock ones blow, too thin so they slip and if you like to crank your bindings and ride with a bit of power they blow out real quick. The thicker tramping laces stay tighter and are much more robust. I modified my boots to a once lace system where you only have one set to pull and lock per boot, it works really well.

thanks matt, i'll give them a call in the morning. mine have lasted me for 2 years, so im not too worried about them breaking again, so if these last another 2 ears i'll be ready for some new bindings anyway. thanks for the tips on the other laces tho, if these snap fast i'll switch to those.

I had to google "tramping" to figure out what the heck ya all were talking about. So basically round boot laces work well?
FYI:
Tramping is the New Zealand term for what other countries may call bushwalking, hiking or rambling.
