Tige' 20V for wake surfing?

Hey folks have a question.

I have the opportunity to pick up a Tige' 20V with 120 hours for cheap and wanted to know if this would make an average wake surf boat. It does not have ballast only the Taps. I'm not as hard-core as most of you just a recreation user.

I will go hard core no doubt however, I will work my way up. Let's say I'm taking baby steps... This potential boat is the starting point if feedback is positive. I don' t have a lot of time to boat shop and this could be "being in the right place at the right time."

My friends has a 20V, the surf wake is real nice with a bit of weight.

Surf wake can be very nice, not huge but nice. Throw a 500 in the rear locker, put a 250 on the bow seats on the side you are surfing. If you have 5 or 6 people in the boat put a 500 in each rear locker and keep the 250 in the bow on the side you are surfing.

We have the Tige 20i and with about 1600 pounds of ballast it produces a very nice wave on either the left or right. The wave is crisp, well formed with lots of push and a smooth table on top. At its biggest the height is about mid-thigh. It has been a good boat except it has a lousy wakeboard wake (not that I do that anymore).

Throw a 750lb sac in the rear locker on the surf side, TAPS @ 3-5, speed about 10.5, that should give you a good starting point. With the right board and a little skill, the 20V can be surfed with 0 added weight.
