I have the Landlock, the Broadcast, and just tried 2 Phase 5's last week. The Broadcast is WAY better than the Landlock. Much more responsive and faster. You have to be pretty good to enjoy the Phase 5. You can do frontside and backside slides and 3's on it much easier than the Broadcast, but it is very slippery. The Phase 5 is pretty much the last stop in the progression for wakesurfing...so far. The Broadcast is in between and is much more user friendly, which is important if there are others on the boat that want to surf. Newbies won't be able to surf well at all on the Phase 5. When I get more tricks dialed in, I will get a Phase 5.

The Broadcast, does it work for larger guys? 200 to 220lbs? It is shorter than the Inland Surfer but looks wider, what do you think? I am torn between the Inland Surfer and the Broadcast. Most of the people who are going to use it are long time ocean surfers. So I don't see a huge problem learning how to use it, even if they are larger in size. But I am just worried the Broadcast is to small. In the end with the Broadcast being wider does it basically have the same boyancy?

I am the guy in the pic Hahn posted and am 215. No problems at all. The Broadcast will be much more responsive than the blue or green Inland Surfer. The Chubby is a lot closer to the Broadcast and is actually shorter and much more buoyant. I think the Broadcast is every bit as stable as the larger Landlock. I would pick the Broadcast over the Chubby just because it is more responsive and is less expensive.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I think we will go for the Broadcast. I am glad I came across this thread. We were just going to get the Inland Surfer not really knowing what else was out there.

Cheers
