Dirty Riderz Wakeboarding Team

The latest wakeboarding team to hit West Michigan. The "Dirty Riderz" are all about "Loud and out of Control." Special Dirty Riderz weekends throughout the summer. We bring the party to the lake.

Who were the "wakeboarding teams" that preceded your arrival there in West Michigan and what were they all about? I thought every area already had a team specializing in "loud and out of control." How did West Michigan get along for so long with such a void. :-)

We will be having plenty of "free" stuff coming out in May. O-ya and as far as showering as long as you dont smell like wet dog. Thanks wakeworld, that's what were talking about, West Michigan been in the shadows for too long. We got the idea from visiting Orlando Watersports Complex. We met a rad dude named Ricky from Washington who owns his own Wakeboarding shop. By the way thanks Ricky for the hook up.

"Loud and out of control" Great- While many of us are fighting to keep wakeboarding allowed on lakes all we need to do is piss off everyone else on the lake.

Hopefully you are not loud nor out of control and you were just making a statement. Seriously- we all need to work to keep wakeboarding allowed. If you have ever been to a DNR meeting or town meeting about restricting wakeboarding then you will know what I mean. Nothing brings people out to a meeting to curb wakeboarding more than having "loud and out of control" riders on the water. People who normally don't care about such things will show up to try and shut us down.

Our wakes alone pisses people off. We need to go above and beyond to endear people. Let's be mature and give the sport a good name. Some common etiquette- 1) be aware of your wake and try to drive in such a way that it doesn't damage people's property. 2) Remember sound carries on a lake. No one wants to hear your music blaring. Be courteous when in coves or near homes/cabins. They want to enjoy the lake also. 3) Rude and crude behavior around families/homes/cabins/camps etc. will turn people against us. I have seen some incredibly crude actions in public areas that was uncalled for and gives all young wakeboarders a bad name.

I don't mean to say it should be a Church service but be smart about what you do and where you do it. "One bad apple.....

We have been doing this for years and have came to realize that it is better to be on the devils left shoulder then to be in his path. We don't make the lake unpleasent for people, but we ride dirty, (look for us). We have a fan club who accepts us, including DNR and Sheriffs. It's hard to stop an army. And by the way how many trees to you hug in a day? I think we can find some Dirty Riderz Tampons.

well ive never heard of riding dirty. i have heard of filthy and stinky riding though (kurt uses it throughout the book to describe nasty sick riding). btw ill give you a little lesson in solicitation for your dirty, nasty, filthy, stinky wakeboarding club. it doesnt help to call someone out (hoosairboy) when he is offering you genuine advice. however, my guess is youre to immature to discern his message. good luck

Ok heres an idea... Just ride to have fun and for the love of the sport. Dont ride to be cool, be seen, or get some sort of a rep. Just ride to ride. And maybe one day somebody will notice you and you wont need an "army" to get attention.

Hey! we definitly apprieciate the constructive critisism. We will for sure put it to good use. We, like every wakeboarder, like to go out have fun. But since we can only ride for half a year (if were lucky), we make the best of it. Wakeboarding is a sport that everyone can enjoy. No one said that we have to enjoy it the same way as each other. It's all about going out and tearing it up, pushing the limits more and more. As for as were concerned, we like to do it on the water, not by our mouths. And where did the "Gangsta" talk all begin? We are a bunch of white "Hillbillies" who were raised in Michigan surrounded by corn fields. But we are also surrounded by 100s of lakes. And as for you Ty we are sure you are a good boarder, but stick with that. Not your mouth. And you are more than welcome to come ride with us seeing that you don't have your own boat. But then again not to many 21 year olds do yet unless their sponsered. But for everyone, keep ridin' strong. Whether it's "Dirty" or not.
