I think I've got a good idea on the difference in the 2 type of rockers, but wanted to know for sure what the difference was. Does a "Subtle" 3-Stage rocker board have a little less pop than an "Abrupt", but has a more consistent/predictabable pop where as an "Abrupt" rocker board has the most pop of any rocker type and might be a little more violent/unpredictable with its pop?

Also, I'm thinking about getting a 2005 HL Premier 141cm which has a Subtle 3-Stage rocker...would this be a good board for a beginner rider (landing W2W jumps and 180's) looking for a little more pop coming from a continuous 140cm Double-Up board? I don't think something like a Park's or Byerly would be a good choice for someone of my ability (seem to be advanced boards), but I want something with some good pop that will not hinder my progression. Thanks.
