Going for a little vacation to this area and I'm not to big on laying around on a beach all day. I would like to take my boat and try to get in a little riding. Staying in Michigan City. Anyone out there familiar with this area that can hook me up with a little advice?

Unfortunately, finding good water is going to be tough. Most of us in Northern Indiana don't even take our tournament inboards out on the big lake unless it's a south wind....and even then, very few do that.

If you're bringing your X-45, you'd be fine cruising the shore on the big lake...but, be careful, Lake Michigan can turn on you in a matter of minutes.

Wish I had more info, but I'll only get out to Michigan City maybe once a year.
