I bought a 142 LF Trip on the advice from you guys on this forum and I am not disappointed. I installed the center fin and have been using it.

When is the point that you should take it out?

It seems like it is a real struggle to get the board to edge. I have to really lay on my heels/toes to get it to edge. A friend said it could be the center fin, but neither of us are experienced enough to know for sure. I was going to take it out, but forgot to take my screwdriver with us last time out. Other people ride the board also, so I want to be able to install/remove on the boat.

Thanks

yep. take the fin out. i like a really loose board, and that thing edges like a tank with the center fin. i would definatly remove it. and if you dont like it without the fin. put it back. its an easy fix.
pretty much every board ive ridden with 3 fins, i took the center fin out. i personally dont like it

You will definitely get more speed out of the board without the center fin in. There is less drag because the fin isn't there. I rode my old 2002 Premier with the fin for a couple of seasons back in the day because I was afraid to take it out. One day I decided to try it without the center fin and I haven't rode a center fin since.

Definately take it out. Give it a couple sets to get used to it, you'll never go back

Take it out for sure. It will be weird for the first couple of sets but then you will love it. I think it also helped my landings cause the board is more forgiving and also makes it easyer to ride switch. You will find it easyer to ride sideways and even pull off powerslides.
