I am thinking of taking a trip down to Bartlett in mid December. Are there a lot of tubers then? I live in Colorado and trunk it in 62 degree water, will I need a wetsuit?

I was in Saguaryo AZ (s.p.) in early Jan. and it was FREEZING. I was in a drysuit and my fingers could only take about 10 min.

It wasn't very warm outside though which I'm sure didn't help. On a hot day I've sure you'ld be fine in a suit, but the water was quite nippy.... and thats coming from a Wisco guy

I have seen people trunking it, but I would uise a drysuit. The water will be mid to upper 50s probably.

Tubers? No chance, too cold for them. All being well you'll get good conditions.

I've lived in AZ for 5 years and have not put a dry suit on, The water in Dec is great smooth and the lakes are yahoo free! Water temps high 50s to low 60s, air temp could be chilly but a top suit is all I wear.

come on larry, were all not as hard core as you are. nor do any of us ride as good as you. The winter is the only good time to ride in az, cause the water is actually calm. you will enjoi it in december

hehehe, nor does Larry ever fall like us. :-)

We ride more in the winter hoping that the "yahoos" aren't out. It's usually about 58-62. Yes, your hands get cold and the runs may be a bit shorter cause it's cold. However, it's always worth it!!!

Only thing we get in the winter is the "two dudes in a go fast boat" drinking beer and trying to find out how many times it takes them to go from the dock to the back beach before finishing a beer.

When I lived there the winter storms could get nasty. Nothing serious but the winds did kick up a lot more than during the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
