Hey guys, I have a question regarding a 1998 Mastercraft with the LT1 Corvette engine. Last weekend, it was running a little hot but not too bad at an idle or even at speed. Once you put a load on it (rider behind it), the temp gauge bottomed out. We checked the impeller, and it looked fine, and we checked the through-hull on the bottom to make sure it wasn't clogged. Again, it looked fine. I'd assume there is a thermostat on the engine. where do I find that, and could that be the problem?

Seems like I recall that LT1 has two thermostats.

Check for blockage at the tranny cooler, you need to remove the hose and reach into the tranny cooler, there is a screen about 1" in.

The LT-1 has two thermostats. One is on the top of the intake manifold and the other is off to the left if you are looking at the front of the motor. They are pretty easy to find and replace. I think one of them is a 140 degree thermostat and the other is a 160 degree.
