Just wondering if any videos have been sent in of 1080 attempts. And if so, are they going to be posted soon?

Nothing yet. I think many are just starting to get back on the water after their winter break.

I tried a 1080 on my kneeboard about a year and half ago, but I only ended getting 1/6th of the way around.

In the boombox video, shane bonifay does a mad spin in the bonus helicopter section. It is probably only a 900 and he falls. But it wasnt a double up. I know everyone thinks Parks will do it which is a safe bet, and maybe randy harris (havnt seen any videos on him) but dont leave out shane. Possibly other guys like Josh Sanders and Harf who can do w2w 900s. I think any top pro could do it with a decent double up.

Hey Jeff, In my opinion, this is a way to inspire people to get out and try to stick a 1080. Everyone knows about Parks and this is just a reason to get people out there.

Jeff I think you should read the article on WW. here is the link.. http://wakeworld.com/contests/2004/1080.asp

parks lands that wrapped and the comp states that you have to land clean and unwrapped

anybody gonna mention adkison? That boy through's 9's like its his full time job. I think hes in the game too.

andrew does 9's a whole lot. I've watched him do it. Afther that he came right back in the wake and through a off-axis 7. Hes definatly a potentiol threat.

The rules state the following: "Entrant is required to make at least four handle passes (two in front, two in back) and cannot wrap the handle prior to beginning the maneuver. The entrant is further required to land the maneuver and ride away from it in control."

It does not prohibit landing wrapped. In fact, if mentions that you have to do at least four handle passes, which would leave you in a wrapped position upon landing.

What do you mean?
Old     (kristian)      Join Date: Nov 2002       03-28-2004, 11:16 AM Reply
Tick-Tocking is when you land blind, don't pass the handle and revert back. (Danny Harf does a bunch in his section of F4A. Like his crail tanny-2-b)
