Starting a new thread specific to this vehicle!

I decided that a Z71 Tahoe was what I wanted and what would be most practical overall. So the search began. Searching far and wide I've seen them anywhere from about $16,500 to $22,500 pending miles ect. From Houston on up to 2000 miles out.

The one in question is a 2003 Z71, 50,400 miles, GM Certified, 5 yr/100K mile warranty, dual power seats, leather, newer factory style tires, black w/gray. They were asking $18,555 for it (autotrader.com), drove it, told em I'd let em know Monday. I used to work with the salesmanager and he told me he couldn't come down lower than that "blow out price". Got online this AM to show a buddy and the price is $17,800 on the web.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on it in the AM if they'll do $17,500. Probably won't let the $300 stand in the way, but wanted to ask what you all thought of that price w/the options and miles. I would like to get it for $17,000 but I dont think thats realistic with the miles an so on.

Thanks for the input! Sorry if this is the wrong place.

I say if it is clean and the color combo you are looking for you should go for it...

BTW, does it have a clean carfax... one owner car?

If it has multiple owners I would really have to contemplate...

That is a good deal on that vehicle. I paid more for my 04 and the internet add could be a misprint. I have been happy with how the tahoe has performed for me.

The vehicle had to be a lease return due to the mileage on it. Someone was on a limit. 3 yr lease on an 03 would be up this year. I will get the carfax on it, but I feel confident that its clean.

I'm pretty much a go on it. Any more input is welcome!

$17,500 Seems like a reasonable deal for a pretty nice suv. I've got an 06 Z71 and have put on about 50k trouble free miles on it so far. Tows the boat without problem and so far the 4wd has been more than sufficient.

I would make sure about the warranty,, check the fine print!! I once purchased a used Dodge and found that the 5yr warranty started when original owner purchased the vehicle,, leaving me with two years of warranty. I found this out when the tranny died at 25 months,, one month out of warranty. That was sweet/

Good luck

Brian is right, the certified 5/100 is from the original in service date.

5.9% for 60 months on certified Tahoes through GMAC right now too.

Congrats with the new ride. I had an 01' and put 120k on it with no problem. They are well-made trucks and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoyed mine.
BTW post some pics and show her off a bit when you get the chance.

Broke her in a little today just to see how it would do. I wasn't disappointed a bit. :-)

Nice truck man! We have a black Burb just like it and love it. It actually our third Tahoe/Suburban and we'll keep buying them until they prove us wrong. Oh and I would have done the same thing....go straight to the boat and hook it up. Gotta make sure it's lookin' tight!

Congrats on the new Tahoe. I love the look of the Z71 package. I have 2 Suburbans one with 180k and the other with 100k. Both are great trucks.
