I'm buying a boat in Illinois and i need to get it down to AZ this may. I'm looking for someone that would be willing to tow it down here. Obviously there is money in mind and myself and a friend would probably or can come with. Will try and make it worth your while. It's going to Tempe arizona, Good partying there. Use imagination. Only serious responses please. Thank you. Oh yeah, the boat is a 2006 Mastercraft X1.

May I ask why you did not buy from your local dealer?

Because my parents already bought it and I am buying it from them. Long story...

I got pretty serious about shipping about that distance. It seemed that it was going to run $2-$3 /mile. I don't think I saw any quote under $3500.

It's probably cheaper to go pick it up.. I looked at picking up a boat in Phoenix and bring it home to WA. One of the reasonable methods for me was to fly out ($350), rent a sport utility with a different return location. Then drop the boat on the SU, and beat the hell out of the SU all the way back. The SU was only going to run about ($450) Then figure about 8-9 miles to the galloon. $300-$400 in gas. Hotel $80-$200. $150 food and other incidentals. I was looking at 1200 - 1400. Which was by far the cheapest method and fastest -- (needed to be fast for work)

I think I even have a friend who would have done it just for the trip. So if my work schedule was too tight, I could have sent him.

Sammy Orr Trucking in Tennessee is the best. He towed mine from Tn to Ca. 865 856-2854.

He tows for all the factories as well. Highly recommended to anyone here.

Except if Shane's dad does it for free I will call him on my next shipment.

I had my boat hauled from GA to ID over 2K miles, I put it on www.uship.com and got a pretty good price.

The hauler for my boat did a good job, if you'd like his info, contact me and I'll email it to you.
