PJ,

You're right. I did, and I won't make another transom guard like the one that I have. It's difficult at best. You could cheat, and use a sharpie, instead of burning the logo into the teak. If you would like some information on how I built the transom guard, e-mail me, and I will help you out any way that I can.

Tim,

We haven't made any decisions yet. The little mishap at Boot Camp didn't do any damage, it only bent the running gear, so we kept the boat for the remainder of the season. We are building a new house on Lake Ninovan right now, so that is priority. We'll see what happens when the house is done. I kind of have my eye on an M5 though.

Salty 87: Price was a pretty penny...... $2.97 I believe. I've seen worse on the delta. We always fill up off the water but when you are camping on a lake for 3 days you have no choice but to pay the price:-(

Thanks for the compliment:-)

Stef, that is a sweet boat. I like the blue. Great choice.
Are you keeping the X-2 stickers on it?
Congrats again.

Rony: Not sure yet. Here's a link that contains pics with the xstar vs. x2 stickers. What's your vote? We may just go naked!! (no stickers that is).

Rony - your boat looks sick bro. That pic is nice.

Stefani - I'm really likin' the blue. I'd keep the x-2 stickers, it's a status symbol. Shows that you have an '03 not an '02, but the '03 x-star stickers look tight too. Too hard to decide.

We were going to get the xstar sticker but after we saw the x2 sticker in person decided to keep it. You can't go wrong either way.

Luke- That is a sweet color combo!!
Zack-I love your boat every time I see it. Any issues with the window tinting?
Old     (raider40)      Join Date: Oct 2001       04-07-2003, 8:09 AM Reply
None so far Wilson. I'm amazed at how many comments the tint has gotten. It is definitely hard to see through though but I use the seat bolster so it's not a big deal.

Rony - I saw an X yesterday with the same color scheme as yours and it looks sick.

Thanks guys for the comments.
Zack, before we decided on the red we liked the reverse blue like you have. That is a nice color and color scheme. Is that the metallic blue?

Thane,
it is getting really close to Martinez season. Have you been out there this year?
Old     (thane_dogg)      Join Date: Jun 2002       04-07-2003, 10:53 AM Reply
Luke - again, your color scheme is so sick man. I love it.

Rony - I haven't been out there yet. Every time I talk to Bill about going out there he's always like, "no I'm going to glamis" or "no I'm going to mammoth." The season is here, time to charge.
Old     (raider40)      Join Date: Oct 2001       04-07-2003, 10:58 AM Reply
Actually Rony it's the reverse black. I haven't seen the metallic blue but did see a metallic grey on Friday and it looked pretty sweet.

I actually wanted your boat but solid black - this was the Houston boat show special and at the end of the 02 year so I was told to wait for the new X or buy the one I got. I'm very happy with it so far.

Hey Chris,
How 'bout some details on your tower set-up
How do you like the speakers on top of the tower.
I have been considering that for myself but yours
is the first I've seen. I think it looks
great and makes complete sense. Not sure why
we don't see a lot more speakers mounted on top of the tower??
Old    loudliquid1221            04-11-2003, 9:42 AM Reply
Before i got hooked up with Loud Liquid. I just had the 4 speaker son top. They look great on top i think. I have a friend that has the same set up as mine. I got a lot of complement on them. The Boss Tower guy was actually thinking about putting his speakers on top after seeing mine. It gets everything out of the way underneath the tower. Not jamming speakers underneath. I have pics of my boat with out the speaker box underneath and ill post them so you could see.
Old    loudliquid1221            04-11-2003, 9:46 AM Reply
Bill,
I got hooked up with the speakers from Loud Liquid cuz thats where i work. There is no way i could afford all the speakers if i just paid for them normally. I would have had to pay abot $1500+.
