98' Mastercraft Prostar 205 - Weighting?

I've got a 98' Prostar 205 and I'm wondering how other people with similar boats have theirs weighted so that I can get mine setup appropriately. Thanks in advance for your time!

I have a '99 205DD and for a super sized wake we run about 1600#'s with 4 people. I run a Pro X fat sack in the back, about 750# full, about 300# of pop bags in the middle for balancing the boat, and about 550# of lead in the front of the boat. Make sure you have enough weight in the front of the boat. These boats like weight in the front.

One way I tell is that if the bow eye is right at the water then you have enough weight in the front. You have to watch your driving so you don't dip the nose but the wake is soooo worth it.

usually have 6-9 people on board and we run 750# in rear and 300 up front, everyone loves the wake, like Dave said,watch the nose dip. 205 is a heck of a boat, hope yours is as good to you as ours has been to us, enjoy.

I had this boat until two years ago. Ran it with a phat budde sac in the rear (about 700#) and a fat sac in the front walkway (about 450#). Great wake for that boat. Also surfable.

Thanks for all the input...I've got a 750 under the rear seat, plus a 750 for the bow, and that seems a little inadequate. So, I guess I should get a pair of 400# v-drive sacs to put on either side of the engine compartment and then I should be set. I'll just have to keep the 750 in the bow less than full.

I've got a 98 205 as well. I've been running it with about 800# in the back and 500-600# in the front. With 4 people in the boat, it was beefy with a great pop to it.

Throw a few hundred pounds on the port side along with the passengers and surfing is sweet.

I have a 94, little different hull. Fat seat rated at 1500lbs is the back. Tube sack (200lbs roughly) in the bow ski locker, 2 full fat sacks I think rated to 500/600 lbs each in the bow seating area. One driver, 1 spotter, and 1 kick ass wake at 23mph 75'.

When we run light, we run 2 full sacks on either side of the engine (500 each) and 2 tube sacks up front (approx 200 each) You will know when you have enough weight up front when the wake is clean at 20mph or so. If it is too washy, move weight forward.

We put a 650 in the back, a 650 in the nose & 400s on either side of the engine cover. Usually only 2-3 people but every now & again we'll roll 8 or so & just sit on fat sacs. Big pain but hell the wake is incredible! Also, don't forget to plug your ice chest in the floor & fill it with water!
