I second shaving cream. It works well and won't hurt the bindings so I've heard. If shipping isn't much buying lube over the internet is a good idea too.

the only problem with shaving cream is that the cans rust and leave rust rings in your boat. Try to find shaving cream with a plastic bottum or put it in a bag. Otherwise diluted dish soap also works- just use an empty bottle and fill it 20% with liquid soap and add water to fill it up. The soap is really thing so it washes off the second you jump in the water.

Spend the money on Newt Juice. Easily one of the best products in our sport. The owner truely represents his products and spend a lot of time and money on grass roots stuff for the sport. Support those that suppor the sport.

First if there are new, put them in hot water and afterwards, put them for 15 min.

Do this thice.

Has for Lube, use something biodegradable or you will pollute (scrap) your lake

this is my .02 cents

Kitchen soap is the best and cheapest. Plus there is no can to rust in your boat.

I get the cheapest possible bottle and mix 50-50 water/soap. So far 1.50 for 32 ounces is the best I found and that lasted to whole summer.

As and added bonus: When you are camping out...nothing beats a quick shower on the back of the transom with the soap. Our whole crew smelled kitchen fresh the whole day.
