FINALLY!!! Looks like we're going to have decent weather this weekend. 73 Saturday and 75 Sunday. Of course, that could change...but, who's riding this weekend?

We'll be out both days and I'd love to meet some of the fellow Mile High WW'ers.

I'll be out on Friday in my boat but none of my friends want to go out this weekend, they would rather party

partying is overrated. they should ride.

Do you guys wear wetsuits - What type - full or shortys? Water has to be pretty cold.

Kylie, which day are you heading up to the snow?

Mike, where are you riding?

Richard, every time I've been out this year )5 or 6 times) I've worn a dry suit. If its really 75+ on Sunday, I'll wear a shorty instead.

up north by wellington. the water last week was just over 50, so for me that is dry suit water. the water needs to be upper fifties before is loose the suit

Mike,
are you on a private lake up in near Wellington?
water temp of 50 seems pretty warm for this time of year.

What is the water temp around the area. I rode at Cherry Creek yesterday and the temp. was 57-60. I know there were a few of you that went out?
Old     (kraig)      Join Date: Dec 2002       04-29-2007, 6:25 PM Reply
We went out today and the temp guage said 60. I'm calling BS on it, but the water did feel alot warmer today than in previous weeks. I think that most water temps are in the low to maybe the mid 50's. And getting warmer by the day!

We went out both days this weekend. State parks web page says that Chatfield is 51, I'd say that's probably about right. Rode Saturday morning in a full suit, then tried it in a spring suit mid-morning. Water was very cold, but it felt great once I was up and riding.

Had a great day Sunday riding with Kylie and Shane.

bill - thanks again for taking us out. shane says he had a good time, but they need to make the water warmer or keep the same temp and make it a whole lot smoother! i just plain had fun! i'll get the pics i took developed so you can see them at the MHMG and i'll also email them to you.

Got out for the first wakeboarding set yesterday on Horsetooth, it was about 300 yards long but we surfed at Carter on Saturday and that was OK.

In short, cold and ocean-like waves at both. Tried to pull Chaz for some double ups and he had 6-8 to choose from by the time we circled around. WOW...

But he charged a narley looking BS180 off a pretty solid pop and stuck it. Pretty worthy in any state.

Hey Kraig, I got your message this morning, looks like you only have my work number. I'll be sure to remedy that soon.

Kylie, we're glad you could both join us. We had a great time too and look forward to doing it again soon!

I was up at Horsetooth yesterday as well! I don't have a suit so we just cruised the new boat around to get a few break-in hours on it. I got a Black/Gray Tige RZ2 for this year flag me down if you see me!

Yep, I saw you and a buddy loading up. We were just getting ready to pull out.

Boat looks sharp.

I'll be riding in Denver mid-week but we may get a cabin at Horsetooth in the next couple weeks. We can meet up on the water.

Thanks! Cool. What's your boat, so I know who to look for? Where do you ride at in Denver during the week?

What type of suit were you guys using yesterday? I need to get something so I can go out.

Tim,
Pretty sure I saw you out at the tooth yesterday as well. I was in a white 93 Malibu with out a tower.
I used a 4/3 full suit and was plenty warm, now my buddy on the other hand got in my 2/3 shorty and was a little cold I think.
Will keep an eye out for you next time.

Tim, my boat is a black/white Malibu VLX with a chrome tower and accessories, and I have a 07' Nautique 220 for the camp that is white, with red and black.

I'll probably ride at Hidden, Standley, Sloans, and another lake (has no name) during the week.

I have a couple Oneil Boost Drysuits. Worth every penny. No wetsuits for me. Brr.... I also wear a hoodie when it's really cold.

Oh yeah, I saw you in the Malibu yesterday! Is Sloans private or do you just show up and pay a fee? Couldn't find info on the city's website.

Sorry for all of the questions...what camp do you run?
Old     (ridesystems)      Join Date: Apr 2007       04-30-2007, 6:26 PM Reply
Tim, yea you have to buy a pass for Sloans. It's 215.00 for Denver Res or 430.00 if you do not live in Denver. We just got our pass today and the water temp was 62 not bad. We will be out there this weekend we have an all black 07 Moomba LSV. See you around.

I was at Horsetooth all day Friday, it was chilly the water being about 47 and the air about 60 but we had great water, there were 5 boats out there and we were the only ones getting in the water. Sunday was nice in the morning, then the masses showed up, chop everywhere, we pulled out around 2:00 and went home, we camped Sat. night at Horsetooth and everyone was tired anyways. Tim I think I saw you too coming into the no wake zone on the south end. We were wearing full 4/3 suits and were just fine.
