Can anyone give me info on how fast i should be hitting sliders. Ive got a 4m flat bar a 10m elevator to flat bar with a 22 deg angle and a 10m A-frame

we hit our flatbar at 16-18 mph depending on how big the rider is.

Try it at normal wakeboarding speed.

we found that normal wakeboarding speed was too fast for our short (20 ft) slider and also we heard that the all or nothing uhaul gap was at like 15mph

the u haul gap was like 8 mph on the way up then they sped up as they hit the pool. they started way too fast and they were nearly airing the entire pool, thats how kyle shcmidt got hurt. but for what you are doing its whatever you prefer, try about 18 mph first.

It also depends on how long your rope is also thats how you deside speed.

what's rope length got to do with speed when hitting sliders?

i seem to be the oddball here but i ride my rave slider at 25 mph, for me faster=easier

yeah mike, the rave sliders sink a lot when you hit them ...so faster is better ...
we have a wooden up-flat-down that we all hit maybe 2 mph slower than normal wakeboard ....
confidence is key

faster = less slide time = more boring.

rope length doesn't really matter.

Well rope legth determines alot. The bigger the rope you have the faster the speed you have to go.

ride it at your normal wakeboarding speed, speed also helps with stabillity.

I was hitting them at normal wakeboard speedws and getting booted. So i slowed it down a bit and it was easy but i dodn't know if that means i'm a pussy.

After watching several wakeboaders & skaters at OWC in the slider/kicker pond....I can guarantee that they don't slow down the cable for anyone.
You just need to work on your approach and technique

sure, but the cable at owc is only going 19 isn't it?

Depends......but I'm sure it will be going faster this weekend for the World Cable Chanpionships.

yes OWC tends to be on the slow side, I'd say around 18 every time I've been there. usually speeds up later on in the evening when there are less beginners
