Has anyone had experience with changing to a reverse rotation prop, and switching the transmission linkage, reverse to forward? If so, what boat? How did it work out?

We are testing a 2006 Sanger V215 this weekend, with this set up. We tried to do this with our 2005 X-Star, but because of hull design, rudder placement, and thrust line, the boat would not handle properly.

I know most of you are going to say "buy a Nautique". But, that would be too easy.

Hey Gary, at last year's World Wakesurfing Championship, I was told, this is exactly what they did with one of the Enzo's. Swapped the prop and linkage and Viola' a "goofy boat" :-) They were also running the Wakezup or Switchblade device. For all intents and purposes, the wakes looked identical and it certainly looked like the boats handled the same. I'm sure if you were willing to buy an Enzo Tim Lopes of Centurion would give you all the details.

I am going to look into that today. Thanks for the heads up.

There are many boats that throw excellent surf wakes on the right, typically superior to that of Nautiques from what I've seen. Search this site for goofy wake and you will find numerous good goofy boats. Our Tige throws a good wake on both sides.
