Company is using G10 glass on the Vandall Fins for 2010. But the special sauce inside the fin blocks is 95a urethane. So basically the fins bolts screw through the urethane. When you smack the fin the board will flex instead of breaking the fins off. This doesn't guarantee that they aren't going to break the fins off or break the board, but it will surly help.
I know Gabe's CWB Flex board has flexible fins on it.. I don't think that is exclusive to anyone. They call them Flexifins. Makes sense though.. If you want the board to flex throughout, fins will stop that. Make them flex.
cool cool, thanks for the info, the vandall and the watson hybrid are the top contenders for my next board, I like the look of the vandall a lot more tho at this stage
