It's not meant to be used instead of Photoshop. It's meant to be used in conjunction with Photoshop. Lightroom is more of an archiving/storage sort of program so you can import your photos into the program and be able to access any photo you've EVER taken in less than 10 seconds. It's just a bonus that the program allows you to do a host of other things such as batch edit photos and create photo galleries, etc... So I'll open up Lightroom and import all the photos I just took, then enter in which rider is riding, where the shot was taken at, and other things like that so if someone ever needs a shot of so-and-so, I can find it really quickly. It also allows you to create groups and rank photos, so I can easily find all of my favorite photos or show you all of the photos that I've ever had published in Alliance Wakeskate mag. It's a really awesome program, but like Photoshop it's just another tool and you've gotta learn how to use it and where it fits into your workflow if you wanna make it worth your while.
