Wonder what the malihaters have to say about it...

That dash is great but these boats are getting way to fancy. I guess it would be great but I dont need $$$$ added to the price of a boat for all this fancy stuff. I hope malibu(and everyone else) keep some budget type boats in their lineups for those of us who don't care to pay extra for lcd displays and bling that has no effect on the performance of the boat.

They have 2 new budget type boats for 09, the 23vride, and 21vride.

The Maliview 6.5" Screen is an option

I give it an hour before these pics are pulled off this thread. They aren't supposed to be released yet.

NuBu,

These images are approved for the masses to view.

They also will still have the Vride which is the '08 VLX hull.

Gentleman's Choice for sure.

Good move by them on the new V-ride.

Shouldn't I know some of this since my roommate is a Malibu salesman? He is good at keeping his mouth shut I guess.

Correct me anyone, if im wrong....but does that look like a push button start?! that is bada$$ if it is, and if it is not....that is the best looking malibu dash they have ever released...WOW!
Old     (erik_c)      Join Date: Jan 2005       07-10-2008, 9:28 AM Reply
Now the question is will they change the 23's dash to look like that.
Old     (silvio4)      Join Date: Jun 2008       07-10-2008, 9:29 AM Reply
I wondered the same thing about the 23's dash b/c that was the one thing we didn't like on it, but this new dash is awesome.
Old     (tanner)      Join Date: Oct 2005       07-10-2008, 9:31 AM Reply
Wow that's w/o a dash the best looking dash on the market so far.

And I thought Tige's was very sick this year. But that thing is just wow!Upload

Malibudude,

Eventhough that won't be exactly how the new dash will look, no push button start etc..

New 21vride is what I was referring to (old vlx)

What's the 09 Wakesetter going to run $$ wise?
Old     (wakeaddict9813)      Join Date: Jul 2008       07-10-2008, 12:35 PM Reply
I was told between a 2 and 4% increase.

That is hot

So, the current v-Ride is the old VLX. When they redid the VLX and created new boat, the new boat kept the VLX name.

Now, they are redoing it again, and the current VLX will be the new V-Ride, or just have another version of the VLX. Which is a stripped down version of the same boat? (Similar to Tige's switch series).

.. Not bashing, not hating, just trying to understand what the '09 V-Ride is.
Old     (malibudude)      Join Date: Feb 2001       07-10-2008, 2:32 PM Reply
The 09' Vride is the '08 VLX, the '09 VLX will sport the '08 LSV style hull.

The new dash is across the line as an option.

Price increases are more likely to be in the ~4% range.

so no more SV23 hull ?

For clarification, the new dash is available on the VLX and LSV23, but has not changed for the 247.

I am not a bu fan because of the local dealer but I dont think anyone does a sweeter interior than those guys. Nice looking dash.
Old     (ord27)      Join Date: Oct 2005       07-10-2008, 6:28 PM Reply
I wonder how well you can read that dash in direct sunlight

sweet looking

I am told that the hull looks sweet too

^^^^ thats how they sell you a bimini top.

I know with the current setup, you can adjust the contrast. It's never been an issue.
Old     (ord27)      Join Date: Oct 2005       07-10-2008, 6:38 PM Reply
right envy
I have never had a problem with mine, and my bimini (with extension) is always up

but that display looks like you might have to tweak the settings a bit for sun or not

I donno.......just felt the need to make some sort of comment

I think the only guys doing a better interior than BU is SVFARA
Old     (smsbrett)      Join Date: Mar 2008       07-10-2008, 9:43 PM Reply
love it! i test drove the x-2 and VTX in the past couple of months and the only thing i liked better about the x-2 was the digital dash, and this blows it out of the water.
anybody know of other pics/details elsewhere?
what do we think those numbered buttons are next to the presumptive push button start? they remind me of those driver preset buttons you see in nice cars that remember how each person likes the seat, steering wheel etc
Old     (tanner)      Join Date: Oct 2005       07-10-2008, 10:12 PM Reply
Well I would venture to guess that they are the code you have to punch in to drive it, like in the Nautiques keyless ignition.

wow i would have to say i would lean more toward the ride series over the true wakesetter series. the tripple hatch in the rear is so key. its like the new vride is my boat just way better. looks great.

I think the 09 Vride 23 (07 LSV) is going to be a great boat.

What Bu should really do is have an Aux In port on the back of that screen. That way you can plug in a Nav. unit and use the screen w/ nav. on the lake

The nice dash is an option.?
What dash do you get standard?
Old     (tommyg)      Join Date: Apr 2002       07-11-2008, 6:41 AM Reply
Man, that really is a beautiful interior. Makes my '02 look terribly dated...(not that I'll be upgrading anytime soon)...

My only issue with the Malibu interiors are the stupid speakers in the middle of the backseat. WTF? Everyone talks about more interior room, and they take away a big portion by throwing speakers in there. Makes no sense to me anyway...

I am so pumped about the new VLX I just sold my 2007 VLX and my 09 will be here Aug 6th. I got it with the screen and the push button start. I can't wait to get behind it.
Old     (buzz_grande)      Join Date: Mar 2004       07-11-2008, 2:30 PM Reply
I don't believe the new dash is an "option". The "maliview" LCD is an option you can add to the dash though.

Me like!

has anyone heard what kind of wake the 09 VLX will have compared to the 08?
Old     (jwalker1)      Join Date: Nov 2006       07-11-2008, 3:42 PM Reply
Thats correct the dash is like that on all VLX's and 23's it would just have gauges in the place of the Mali View. The Mali View is gonna be so sweet, it will play music videos that you have on your ipod.
Old     (jwalker1)      Join Date: Nov 2006       07-11-2008, 3:47 PM Reply
It is supposed to be a cross beetween the 08 23 LSV wake and the 08 VLX wake

is the same dash goin to b in the vtx for 09 or the new vlx dash above?
Old     (bac)      Join Date: Feb 2008       07-12-2008, 12:32 PM Reply
Looks nice, but a little too much electronic integration IMO, like the 3 different buttons for the wedge. Just seems like more chances for something to go wrong on the water. Thats the only I don't really like, other than that, its pretty sick!

For those of y'all who like the push button start. They are very easy to install into a car, so I don't see why it would be a problem on a boat.
Old     (longhornfan)      Join Date: Oct 2005       07-12-2008, 5:11 PM Reply
Tommy G. I'm pretty sure you asked the same question in the thread when I posted my new boat pics. I know someone did. They don't take away any seating space at all. They're inset so even when you're sitting directly in front of them you don't notice them. Also they're in the lower back area. The only problem I have is when people are kneeling on the seat facing back they sometimes hit one of the buttons with their knees. It's not that big of a deal though.

I had 11 people on my boat this past weekend. Two were kids but a few were larger than average adults so that kinda' off set them. I never felt crowded or cramped in the five or six hours we spent on the water.

a little to fancy for a boat, but thats just my opinion, looks great tho
